Hello All,
I am still runing 4.6.1 on my MacBook Pro. In other DAW's one can convert sample depth and rate in one prodedure. In 4.6.1 one must first downsample then sample rate convert or vice versa. This is time consuming and requires one more step. Does 5.1 solve this?
Thanks,
Robert A. Ober

No it does not solve it.
It is still worth it to upgrade DP to 5.11.
You will get better performance with it on your MacBook Pro.

They should work on that, it is most annoying.
I am an IT Consultant who only does a bit of AV work. I usually have 8 channels or less of audio going with no MIDI or synths so the performance is okay for me. When I have a good month I probably will do the update.
I was suprised that my new Ultralite ( I also have the original 896) came with a PPC version of Audiodesk. Motu should take a time out from all the soft synth work and fix some things.
Thanks for the reply,

it FLIES on a macbook pro. I mean really FLIES.
I think you are asking for trouble by running 4.6 under rosetta emulation. Maybe it works today, but it sounds like an accident ready to happen.
Best of luck and best regards.
