Multiple audio interfaces at the same time in DP?

Post by bankbot »

I know that it's a long shot, but I have my 828mkII plugged into my laptop via firewire and an Edirol fa-101 plugged into my 828 via firewire. DP can use both of them independently, but not at the same time, which is what I want to try and do.

I would use the edirols optical in/out to just communicate with my 828 but the edirol has s/pdif optical and only transmits 2 tracks, which would mean that I couldn't use the other 8 line ins. I can't use them anyway though, which is why i'm posting. Any ideas or am I out of luck??

In hardware setup where you see one of your interfaces selected, shift-click on the second interface, which will select (and patch in/thru) both interfaces.

You should then set up Bundles to accommodate the I/O's of both interfaces as needed.
