Did you get to NAMM? What did MOTU have to say-- if anything?

Yeah... didn't think so. :-)

I think we'll start to get the real scoop tomorrow. I'm heading up there in the a.m. and will see if I can find something out... that is if anybody's talking about this. I'm sure they're going to get asked this a LOT this year.

Ultimate Sound Bank

Post by kurtl »

Ultimate Sound Bank is showing Plugsound Pro and their UVI Soundcards. I have a feeling they get to show their stuff first. Go here.

http://namm.harmony-central.com/WNAMM07 ... Ships.html

It says the UVI Soundcards are compatible with MachFive V2.

We'll see.

Pretty funny. No audio samples, but you can make the box REALLY BIG. Heck, that's worth the price of the plug right there!

Plugsound Pro is a pretty nice module. Check out their company site. I got it and find plenty of uses for it.

I did find that actual samples and they sound quite nice. The price is right too!

What I found funny was the big box... :)

For what it's worth, a suite of electric pianos was announced for Mach Five (I forget which vendor, but it was associated with Ultimate Sound Bank I believe). So at least someone takes Mach Five seriously.

I'd need at least 3 more monitors to see that thing.

Maybe they've stolen MachV and included it in the box.
And a brand-new car.

It's for Plugsound Pro.

Although USB says it'll work in M5 2...

And they're the developers of M5 2...

Even though MOTU is supposed to sell M5 2 under their corporate moniker...

Some day...

Supposedly.

Thanks Chris. Based on you recommendation I bought it today and love it. West LA couldn't find their dongle, but my salesman was as positive as you about it.

I won't be pitching my outboard orchestral modules just yet, but what a great variety of useful sounds. And I just love the Sound Design section. Cool, hip wow, man! :)

Glad you like it. Yeah, it's a great bread-and-butter sound module, I think. I have the organ, vintage synth and sound fx add-ons. They sound good.
