robowisa,

Go over to the Sonar forum and do a search for the "uad-1" card. There was some sort of problem with the uad-1 card with Sonar 6 and a possible fix/workaround. There are a lot of helpful forum users there that may be able to help you.

Your setup is very nice!!! Do you have pics? I have a somewhat similiar setup to yours minus the uad-1 card and I've had no problems so far and I'm using a 2408mk3 instead of the HD192, along with the 24I/O and my system rocks!!! :)

Man, it's called a period. It is your friend.

That board is a gamer board and I wouldn't be suprised at all if you had problems with it. That and the AMDX2 is now a very dead technology. Anyone looking to build or buy a new system should definately be looking at Intel Core2Duo systems.

AMDX2 vs Core duo

Post by calaveras »

there really isnt so much of a difference between AMD X2 and intel core duo to warrant calling the AMDx2 chips dead. I mix and record on a opteron 165 based system every day and rarely see my cpu usage above 30% on either core. Sometimes in final mix I might get close to 60% on one core.
Now Socket 7 thats dead.

 Finally got my 896HD working took 3 hours and a reinstall of the Pc to day one . , becareful when Motu support tells you to install original drivers on factory disc., you dont need them . Just download the 64bit driver and you should be good .
