figured we all could use a resource for building our IR libraries.
just starting a new thread, trying to revive the requests to make a sticky.
i'll start with a couple links that others have mentioned here:
www.airwindows.com
free
IRs and other effect/utility plugs
http://guitarampmodeling.com/viewforum. ... c5941eacc6
good spot for various
IRs and tutorials
i intend to create some impulses in some of the nice sanctuaries and auditoriums that i frequently do work in, hopefully in the very near future.
if they turn out, i'll be more than happy to share them with you guys.
anyone else have some links? let's have'em.

At some point when there are enough links we can make a new sticky, but I don't want to clock up the forum with too many of them at the top. Thanks.

The free IR buzz seems to have died right down, and few new sites/collections have appeared during the past 4 years.
I lost much of my library to invading UNIX executables; it comprised pretty much every free IR out there in 2004. Now, as I rebuild this library from what's still posted today, I'm struck by how many download links are now broken, how many sites no longer exist and also by the fact that not much has appeared in the form of new IRs.
It is for this reason that I do think a sticky will quickly stagnate as once all the usual suspects have been downloaded there'll be practically nothing left. If you compare the various link collections (such as at KVR and BBL), you'll quickly realise that there's often a near-100% overlap between them, which says it all really. When all's said and done, the EchoChamber, NoiseVault and Fokke van Saane collections offer by far the most bang for your time in terms of quality, as well as constituting the bulk of what's out there.
Now, if we used a sticky to post our own home-made IRs of our gear and the spaces we're exposed to (all we need are balloons and mics), I feel it'd be very useful, if only in terms of the variety of spaces we'd have access to.

Hey Guys,
Hope this doesn't seem OT
has anyone found a way to add a bunch of responses to a user folder and get them to show up in the ProVerb?
The only luck I've had is dragging the Impulses on top of Proverb and dropping, then using the "add to user"
thanks

that was mainly the idea.
thought we could consolidate any live links out there with it, just to be resourceful.
just a thought.

... and a fine one at that IMHO, adeptusmajor.
Pete, I've been asking about the presets/folder deal here for some time. Please feel free to join:
http://www.motunation.com/forum/viewtop ... 1&start=75
Still not sure what the score is. I'd like to be able to incorporate my free library which is already organised in a specific manner.

Hey MM,
I spoke with MOTU, apparently the only way to have impulses show up within Proverb is to drag each impulse on the plugin, and then save as User prest.
Unfortunately, there can be no folders within that eg,. I have UAD 140, Space Echo, Lexicon, halls, Plates, etc,..
They all show up in one huge list, no separation as such Plates,Room,Hall.
No yet at least, it would be a great update to the plugin to enable this IMO.
Best-

Oh no! Nooooooooooo! Say it isn't so, Pete. Bummer. LOL I've spent many months (twice over now - long story) organising my free IR collection into categories... and for nought? Yikes!
I very much hope MOTU allows a whole lot more flexibility soon; dragging an alias of your root IR folder (or any combination of ƒs therein) onto the plug or into its app support folder should do the trick, and hopefully MOTU will make something as simple as this possible soon. Am I asking for too much? Dunno.

Not asking for too much,. no. It would be great if you just pointed the plugin to your main impulse folder and were able to access them, as in Altiverb.
Perhaps thats asking too much,..but. To not be able to categorize them once imported seems pretty cumbersome. Altiverb and SD have me spoiled I suppose.
I think they will most likely tweak with it a bit. They should, it is a nice sounding plugin.

Let's hope so Pete, and that you're right about the folder thing. Seems to me that what's generally considered default behaviour is all we're asking for.
"Four folder layers deep" (or more) categorisation would be good too, IMHO.

The manual says the impulses are handled similarly to Model 12,..
I admit to never using Model 12, but can't imagine a sampler not categorizing the samples?
I'm sure they'll fix this thing up.
