Re: DP12 release date?

On the MBP or the Hackintosh? Bitwig is a special case. They've devoted much of their effort to crashiness since day one. Hackintosh? Both are equally problematic with DP. Sometimes AUs (vs VST 2/3s) will work better on one system and worse on the other. I like that BW complains but doesn't crash. ...

Re: DP12 release date?

IMO the biggest problem isn't DPs compatibility with Sonoma etc. it's third party plugins. I have a few that I use all the time that are long in the tooth, and are always responsible for crashes in DP. I mean that's a potential risk releasing a paid upgrade when common plugins that end users are us...

Fog Convolver $39

I got super frustrated with proverb not opening most my IR collection and was looking for an alternative to IR-L and found this. Its an amazing beast of verb and toneshaper and it seems to be on sale. Fog Convolver $39 https://www.audiothing.net/effects/fog-convolver/ (and I just noticed it was post...

Re: Reverse reverb in DP's effects?

You could also reverse an impulse response and load that into proverb and play around with length and pre-delay.

Re: SE single lane data editing and viewing behavior

No lanes open, just the main track in the SE - If you change the track header to anything other than Soundbites (ie to Volume) in the SE, you're not seeing all the lanes together over the greyed out soundbite? Hi Charlzs, That’s correct. Additionally, in any other lave view then soundbites only the...

SE single lane data editing and viewing behavior

I think this came up in another thread which I can’t find. Is there any way to view multiple date types/lines (Eg. volume, pan and plugin LP freq) in one SE lane and use the blue check box to set the edit focus (as in previous versions)? And what happened to clicking on the bar at the top of a sound...

Re: Waves 12 working fine on intel DP11/Ventura

By the way, any particular plugin or feature you're excited to dive into with this setup? Always curious to hear what fellow music enthusiasts are up to! The studio rack plugin is particularly nice as it has parallel and multi-band processing options and loads the v12 and vst plugins. As unpleasant...

Re: Audio Unit - VST compatibility

I tried to switch to windows with a dual boot hackintosh and then gave up. It was a horrible experience with multiple issues. I documented a bit of it on a thread here. Also, I've been using a FF800 with adapters and no issues ever with my m1 MBP (hackintosh was a different story with a driver issue...

Waves 12 working fine on intel DP11/Ventura

I _FINALLY_ got my main studio hackintosh and m1 laptop on the same OS version and was really happy to discover that, although waves 12 is officially unsupported on ventura (which the latest waves central mentions but still gives the option to install), my V12 plugins seem to be working fine. No nee...

Re: Dead Mac Pro

Maybe try pulling certain dimms out (try half and half) and pulling and re-seating the processor cards (if it has them). I had an upgraded 2010 that had little status lights on the MB, maybe yours has some and that would give you a clue. I'd stay away from Apple and find a repair place or refurbishe...

Re: Plug-in Sales and Special Deals Sticky Topic

Acustica is having a sale until 12/10:

I've been eyeing Taupe for a while. I think it's a very good tape/analog mojo emulation which uses convolution and couldn't resist adding it to the arsenal.

Re: Firewire

You do not need an external drive. Create a bootable Volume (do not partition an APFS drive) — you can delete it when no lonfer needed. Here are a couple of Support docs from Apple: https://support.apple.com/guide/disk-utility/add-delete-or-erase-apfs-volumes-dskua9e6a110/mac https://support.apple....
