i updated my question above.
still looking to know how to select HIGHER than 4096.
i have 32GB of RAM, it's a shame to not be able to apply it to all my virtual instruments being run

thank you all for your effort in trying to figure this out- since my initial/first post i've gone back to using dp 4.52 and *so far* the unable to save problem hasn't happened.... is there a 4.61 "fix" on the horizon? hope so.... (a bug this heavy should warrant a maintenance fix) the last...
