You can play the click through the speaker and on the recording track select built in mic which will pick up the click nicely. The trick is you have to unselect play on the recording track or feedback. Cool trick. Re. the problem: I think this is definitely a bug. I've tried all sorts of stuff and ...

I just tried it on my laptop by recording a 10 minute click off my internal speaker. It works fine in 4.61. Someone else needs to do the same in 5. Possibly you are not selecting all the soundbites. I select all then click the track which narrows down the selection to just one track. I don't rememb...

Re: Have I discovered a huge flaw in DP5?

Anybody else run into this glitch? Is there a solution? I do this sort of gating all the time and it's really going to slow my work down to have to do this every time. :( --- Chad OK. Here's what I did; Recorded 20 seconds of audio to mono track. Used scissor tool to slice into 1 second parts. Dele...

As I said before, this feature worked fine in all previous versions of DP, even before DP3! Suddenly it disappeared from DP5! --- Chad There's a similar odd behavior when trying to use "compact" in DP5 that wasn't there in earlier versions. After playing around with it for way too long, I...

Re: Latest Attempt

If any of you have time I would be interested in you listening and commenting. Two files are posted at the following link-- one is the raw tracks and the second is my mix. Sounds like an improvement to me. I don't know what the room sounded like, so you might be at a point now where it's as good as...

Thanks for that info!

"Klaatu barata niktu"
Hey zerosin,
Is that exactly what he said? I've been trying to remember that phrase for years.

Same results here. So far 10.4.6 hasn't been a problem for me.

Are you using the Apogee firewire card with the Rosetta? I've run into a plethora (just wanted to use that word) of problems with DP and Xfirewire performance. Check my posts. I have a Rosetta 800 and one of the strange things I've found is that a buffer setting of 512 works best. Smaller is worse a...

What exactly is the difference between Toast and Jam? Roxio's web site isn't real clear on this. I hope I'm not to far OT.

Good point Lorenzo. Kwilinski, you mentioned using 4 mics. Have you tried listening to them just in pairs?

I'm with giles on this. Even with the changes you made it still needs some work on the panning. What's done is done, and you can't go back and mic the piano, or change the room reflections, but creative EQing and stereo imaging might result in further improvement. Think subtle, small adjustments. Di...

I did a full day of tracking for the first time in 5.0.1 yesterday. I was scared to death that I might have a crash with the client in the studio.
No glitches!
