Monitor/CPU solution
I've had the same issue... I swapped the monitor (19" LCD, Viewsonic) and that reduced the noise by about 40%... But it's still there. My Mac is in the closet, I have a FW hub...Still noisy. Tried a poer conditioner, lots of stuff, to no avail. Did you get this sussed out? Did your new environm...

I've spent enough time on this to have composed a symphony, embarrased to say... I own a BOSS JS - 5 (Jam Station)..It's basically a drum machine - 4 part rythym generator.
