Need help finding Orchestral String library
Hello, I am new to VI's and electrical music. I'm going to school for composition and want to be able to produce good performances of my pieces. I bought the MSI a few months ago and frankly, the sounds that came with it are... so so. My friends have told me that they sound "8-bit-ish". Ca...

No, the ranges are not correct. F.i.: bassoon goes as high as E, MSI only goes to C. Oboe goes as high as A, MSI only goes to C. Same for Cello, I wrote a piece that had a solo cello playing F5 and it won't play. I have had to splice in solo violin to get in that range. Cellos can play F5, Symphoni...

Applying MIDI Events to virtual instruments? Does this work?
Hello, I just got the symphonic instrument and have been trying to prepare a performance, but I can't get any of the MIDI events to work. How do I go about changing volume, velocity, panning, muting, etc. etc. to a virtual instrument track? I would be good if this was treated like a normal patch wit...

Re: Mach V versus Kontakt
Thanks SD,
That really answered my question. Now I understand. I called Kontakt tech support and they say they are currently working on that problem and the fix is in development, and it should be released *soon* in a patch.

Re: Mach V versus Kontakt
What do you use multiple outs for? Sending audio to other tools or hardware? I'm completely new to this, so I don't understnad what the value of sending multiple outs to anything is. Can someone point me to an explanation or some example scenarios that I would need multiple outs for. Like in the exa...

What would I need multiple outs, which dp can't do for? What would the function be that I would use that for?

Re: Mach V versus Kontakt
"Feature rich" That's what I hear a lot, but from my perspective as a person that has never used a sampler before, will I even use 100% of that functionality? From the perspective I have, most people don't use all the features they cram into a product to claim it's the best. If I buy MachV...

Mach V versus Kontakt
Hello, I just need to know from your experience, which one of these is better than the other one? Can I also ask why you have come to your conclusion? I've been searching for about 3 hours tonight to find some real information about the limitations of mach V and why kontakt is far superior to it, an...
