Re: OG MIDI Timepiece ONE
Ok so to update on my situation: I tried to install System 7.1 and FreeMIDI. Apparently FreeMIDI needs at least 8 MB to run. I was able to install it with only 4 MB, but anything I tried to run after that would crash. No dice... Finally I ended up finding another MTP I online in its original box, wi...

OG MIDI Timepiece ONE
Hi Everyone! This question is gonna take everybody WAY BACK... I know this is a long shot, but a couple of months ago I bought an old MIDI Timepiece One because I want to try to set up a MIDI sequencing setup around an old Macintosh SE running Performer 4.2. The only thing is that I had forgotten th...

Re: Control Surface Setup - DM2000 - Beyond 8 tracks
Yeah I have a similar issue with my 15 year old Yamaha O1V96... I can only get faders 9-16 working. I was hoping DP11's enhanced controller support would finally mean 16 fader capability, but alas, no dice... Too bad, cause I've always liked this console and its potential!

Re: D.P. 9.02 dispo on MOTU Site
Anyone try loading a movie into a project with a third party video interface yet?
I'm using a Blackmagic Mini Monitor via Thunderbolt, and I'm getting spinning beach balls. Even when I try to clear the movie window, DP freezes up. Not sure if I'm doing this right...

Re: DP7 Install Discs in El Paso Area
Interestingly enough, they did give me another key code as well... Not sure why, as I figured you would just use your old one...MIDI Life Crisis wrote:That's great! Can I borrow your key code?

Re: DP7 Install Discs in El Paso Area
I just had a thought - no doubt you already tried this, but one of my last library disks generated the same error message. Turns out there was a bit of something stuck on the surface of the disk. I (gently and carefully) removed the bit of dust or whatever, cleaned the whole disk again, and voila! ...

Re: DP7 Install Discs in El Paso Area
True BK-- Were I reading my own post, I probably wouldn't either... I just want to get this transfer over with asap... I used Migration Assistant three years ago when I bought my 2008 Mac Pro... I was transferring from a Dual G-5, and ended up copying a lot of useless PowerPC software along with it,...

Re: DP7 Install Discs in El Paso Area
Thanks for the reply! Yeah, I figured I'm gonna have to wait. The MOTU tech confirmed my mailing address today, so hopefully they will mail it tomorrow or Thursday... btw, I did try to copy the install disk, but alas it froze up halfway (I'm assuming on the same wav file the installer freezes up on ...

DP7 Install Discs in El Paso Area
[given the nature of the subject heading, I know I'm setting myself up...] I just bought a brand new Mac Pro last week, and I was doing a clean install of everything. When I got to installing DP, I got the dreaded "A disk error occurred while reading from the disk. Please contact technical supp...

Re: Video out to Hd Monitor
I have an HDX-SDI, which works like a charm in Final Cut Pro and After Effects, but surprisingly, doesn't work in Color or DP... Too bad, cause I really like it, and I would love to be able to edit to a full HD picture on my Sony monitor... Maybe soon...

Re: I WANT WANT WANT WANT WANT this new MOTU box!!!!!
I had already ordered the HDX, so I tried it anyway in DP What bit depth and sample rates does it operate in DP? What about video? So far the only combination I've tried is the one I normally use (24bit/44.1k)... As far as video, I haven't been so lucky... Although the HDX (and all of it's size/fra...

Re: I WANT WANT WANT WANT WANT this new MOTU box!!!!!
Those boxes are NOT audio interfaces, however...and that's the key here. The HDX-SDI is not an audio interface either. It's audio inputs and outputs are not exposed to Core Audio like the V4HD's inputs and outputs are. Currently, the HDX-SDI's audio I/O only works with Final Cut Pro. And see, that'...

Re: 828 mkll broken, how much, how long to fix
My 7 year old 828 mk I died on me earlier this year. I sent it in to MOTU... I think it took them a little over a month and 100 bucks. They ended up replacing it with a refurbished one. Works like a champ now. You'll have to send them a TechLink on their website though to get a return authorization ...
