Help! Traveler with Logic 9. Low recording levels in Logic!
OK, this problem has been baffling me for three days now... MacBook Pro, Logic 9.1.7, Lion OSX 10.7.4, MOTU Traveler mk3 + MOTU 8Pre - firmware is up to date, CueMix is up to date (1.6) Recording levels of Audio tracks in Logic don't go past about 20%. That includes the meters as you're recording as...

Traveler crashing Finale 2008 (OSX 10.2)
I posted this over on the Finale discussion boards, but I have a feeling that there may be some people here that can shed some light on this even better. Here's the deal... I just installed both Leopard and Finale 2008 recently. (Leopard first) Here's the problem: Every time I launch Finale 2008 it ...

Thanks, I think I get what you're saying. I need to basically calibrate my powered monitors themselves, so that basically the CueMix levels match the DP output levels. I'll have to do some work on this, as I've got two sets of monitors and a handful of various inputs. I'll have to check them all. I ...

Volume Discrepencies between DP 5.11 and CueMix
Ok, so here's my set up... Mac OS 10.4.10 on a G5, DP 5.11, MOTU Traveler, 8pre (connected via optical ADAT to Traveler) I've also hooked up the S/PDIF out of the Traveler back to the S/PDIF in of the Traveler so that I can have control in Cue Mix of mixing the sound that comes out of my computer. (...

Wow!!! Brilliant!! That worked like a charm. And now, not only do I have tactile access to the volume on the front of the Traveler, but I can just open CueMix on my computer and adjust the S/PDIF volume that way. That's exactly what I wanted to do!! Yea, thanks Smokehouse. Now hopefully I won't need...

Huh... Thanks Smokehouse. I was afraid that what you said was the way it was. But you're idea about creating a signal between MOTU Audio Out 7-8 to MOTU Audio In 7-8 may be half the solution for me. I didn't really want to lose a whole input pair for this, but I don't really have a need for the S/PD...

Hmmm... Well thanks for the suggestions but both of those options are what I'm trying to avoid. Using a seperate output would require hooking my mixer back up so that I can put everything through my monitors. And I'd prefer not to re-install one of the other smaller soundcards which I'm hoping to se...

Traveler - Can I "Mix" the Computer's output?
Hey everyone, So this is a newbie question... Just got the Traveler and man do I like it. It just replaced three pieces of hardware in my small project studio with it. Going mixerless...yikes, what a new venture... Anyway, here's my dumb question. I've got things set up so that the default output fo...

hmmm... That's a good point. I guess the PCI 424's cuemix is done on the card, whereas the cue mix for the Traveler or 828 is done on the unit. So adding additional 828s or Travelers would mean they'd all have their own cuemix mixers. That could get confusing. Hadn't thought of it that way. Then aga...

2408Mk3 via 424 versus 828Mk2 or Traveler via Firewire
So I'm in the market for one of these devices, and I'm hoping that someone can perhaps explain the advantages or disadvantages of going with a system through the 424 card versus a system through standard firewire. I'm curious mostly about performance issues and stability. Latency, integration with D...

Help - 2 sec delay with MIDI - external tap tempo
OK, so I can't seem to figure this one out - I've got four MIDI tracks laid down right now, all patched to a VI, though the same problem occurs when it's patched to an external hard synth as well. What I want to do is to be able to tap a tempo in so that I can record a "conductor's preformance&...
