Frankly? Yes. But I'd have to subscribe to Adobe and Microsoft and, besides, Finale and DP are working reasonably well on my lowly 2013 Mac Pro. Upping the internal drive to 2TB really helped speed things up.

I’d disable plugins. Xenon used to do this until it was updated. My bet is a plugin is misbehaving. More likely a processing rather than a VI plugin
