Re: Looks like it’s time to move away from DP - wondering if others are doing the same
Agreed, with all this James. But again, my question is why? Why would anyone bother to mix music in Atmos without distribution channels?

Re: Looks like it’s time to move away from DP - wondering if others are doing the same
Well, then it really seems like what ATMOS does is screw the little guy who doesn’t have a large enough treated room and the money to set up a full ATMOS rig. My head hurts from thinking about trying to comply with all of the technical requirements. I’m glad they still accept stereo masters don’t t...

Re: Omisphere Crashing When Assigning CCs
It's got to be something on my end, but I'd be curious if others with Omnisphere can assign CCs to the effects. ...after selecting the target parameter in Omnisphere, as soon as you wiggle the desired controller DP crashes instantly. I think it is on your end. I had to boot my studio, so ran a quic...

Re: Omisphere Crashing When Assigning CCs
Haven't seen tis, but I've never tried to automate FX within Omnisphere. Half-Baked Workaround #2: Use Audio Plugins on Omnisphere VI Track in DP. Thanks, but I typically use Omnisphere with multi instruments. Plus the effects in Omnisphere are often unique to that instrument. It's got to be someth...

Omisphere Crashing When Assigning CCs
Assigning CCs to anything in Omnisphere's Effects Rack is crashing DP. Even on a fresh new projects. Assigning CCs to any other parameter is fine. It's only crashing when assigning to effect's parameters. Omnisphere in standalone doesn't crash when I do this operation. Just in DP. It only recently s...

Re: How to solo a track
I'm not sure I fully understand your question, but I can tell you how not to solo a track in DP: The single most important thing to remember, is that option clicking Play-Enable, while DP is in Solo gets a completely different result than if you click on Play-Enable when NOT in Solo mode. Option, cl...

Thanks. No brain is dead. Controller was transmitting on the wrong MIDI channel!

Automating volume with controller, and with mixer faders create separate CC7 info in MIDI tracks - RESOLVED
Automating volume with my controller, and with mixer faders create separate CC7 information in MIDI tracks - and mixer faders are not moving when I move my volume/CC7 fader on my controller as they should. This has happened before and there's a preference somewhere that fixes it, but I can't remembe...

Re: How to view soundbite duration?
Check in Time Formats (ctrl-option-T and show details) to select how you want to view in different lists/windows. This. I guess a key command would work if you don't like the clutter in the Event Information strip, but I refer to duration constantly. So I keep Setup>Time Formats>Event Information>D...

Re: Anyone using Soundminer?
...and a mere 17 years later, Soundminer can now spot audio to DP! As far as I know only Sound Particles' "Explorer" search database has had this capability until now. Soundminer may be the most popular and most sophisticated search database out there, so this is great news. According to ...

Re: IRCAM TS2 $30
I mainly use it to pitch correct old pop-song mixes that are not in A=440, so students can play along and it's in tune. Perhaps you can look at a manual to learn about the features. I can't speak on how it compares to Zynaptic (is that what DP uses?) Right. Zynaptic is what DP uses and does an exce...

Re: IRCAM TS2 $30
It's practically a ritual that I come on MN and talk about this lil sleeper of a program every time it goes on sale. I'm pretty sure $30 (reg. $249) is the lowest price we've seen. Yea, it's a little long in the tooth, but still a very useful program for changing the pitch and/or time-stretch of a ...

Re: Dragging MIDI data from one track to another - Strange Behavior
Hello. When I try to move MIDI data from one track to another by dragging in the Sequence editor, Shift is not constraining the direction once the dragged data reaches the destination track. Shift is only constraining the direction if I move the data to another position *within the same track*. But...

Re: M4 Mini Announced and Available for Pre-Order, November Delivery
Very cool. My fourth display is usually just for metering, so 100% reliability isn’t always needed. This might work fine for what I need. Thanks, Mike! The only way I know is to buy a DisplayLink box. These are eGPUs over USB
