Re: MIDI to Audio Converter?
I'm pretty sure Cat was referring to a virtual MIDI track. Those are the only MIDI tracks that can frozen. ...and I'm betting Charlie is a StudioVision refugee. The operation he describes was what was called Substitute in SVP. And sadly no, there are work-arounds, like the one described above, but r...

Re: Switch from Opcode to MOTU
Hello Vijay. I recognize you from the opcode-users list. Welcome. I agree w the posts above. Though still not as elegant as SVP, DP is by far the most Vision-like of the DAWs for OSX. Back in the day when DP and SV were kings and close competitors they evolved more or less along the same track-based...

Re: Does Tiger reduce throughput latency?
I guess technically, the system didn't handle the audio in OS9 which probably accounts for the reduced latency and time necessary to pass audio. The irony of it all is my same sized projects in OS9 ran more efficiently (required less CPU cycles) with less latency and no CPU spikes! Aah! I hate it w...

Re: Does Tiger reduce throughput latency?
Basically you're asking: does DP run more efficiently in Tiger, thus allowing it to run at a lower buffer setting? The answer appears to be *somewhat* at best. I'm not seeing too many people saying there's a big difference in cpu efficiency w Tiger and DP.

Hey Dan and Henry. Have either of your UA pals given any further indication as to when we'll see Tiger compatibility for UAD-1 cards?

Holy Moly! This update *completely* reinvents MX4 imo. I've only been at it a half hour or so, but so far I'm very impressed. Thanks MOTU!

Re: UAD-1+G5/10.4
Looks like it's no-go. This from the UA forum: Hey everyone, Just wanted to step in and clarify; the current v3.8 drivers are not Tiger qualified due to specific under-pinning changes in 10.4. We are currently working on integrating Tiger support and come up with a Jaguar/Panther/Tiger solution but ...

Re: Any info on MX4 2.0 release date?
Doubtful MOTU reads this board. Probably best to email your wishes to them directly. Given the miniscule saturation this VI has in the market I doubt very many resources are being given to MX4.
