There are two devices: one for input, one for output. You have to activate both (Shift- Click) in the "Configuer Hardware Driver" Dialog.

Re: Noise Floor test

To say the least, I'm a little disapointed. These are line level inputs which should be giving -120db I would think. Care to post your noise numbers so I can get an idea of what the norm should be? No reason to be disapointed, that's a good level. Noise is introduced by the analogue circuit before ...

2) Upon import from SX 3.1 export, DP prompts a message saying the OMF contains audio data in a format that DP cannot read. I want to know more about this... Recently I received 32 bit .WAV from a PC- based SX (or Nuendo? can't remember) Took a afternoon to find a way to convert it. (DP can't imort...

Having Altiverb (and Waves IR-1) and the Lexicon PCM90, I can say I don't really miss the edit features of the Lexicon. The nicest thing I can say about the Lexicon menu system is that it was developed during the 20th century, so it has that, uh, cost-reductionist vibe about it, heh. You're right, ...

Altiverb is a convolution reverb and works in a complete different way than a Lexicon or similar, so i think it can't be compared.
Convolution reverbs create very realistic natural rooms (also artificial ones, depenent on IR) but you may miss edit- features.
Both great tools, but different

I would turn off "Analyze Soundbite as soon as possible" when you hit stop in between, just to make sure no background tasks are running while recording.

I changed from Logic 6 to DP about 9 months ago. My opinion: Logic is a great tool for composers, DP is a great tool for engineers. (Of course, DP can be used for composing and vice versa.) If you are recording and editing DP will do a better job. Personally, I don't miss the Logic Plugs. It took me...

Problem must be on Mixer... th 24 i/o won't blow out 56dBu :-) Connected to Tape Return I/P ? Is this happening on all Channels? How did the Console work before / which gear? On the Quart...
