Re: The Top 10 Most Requested Features

There are several other Mac standard things I’d like to see in DP like selecting a range of tracks by holding the shift key. Doing it one at a time is really annoying. Sometimes I'm wondering if we're using the same program. Yes, you can select a range of tracks either with the Shift key or the Com...

Re: The Top 10 Most Requested Features

Not to do a point-by-point response, but you might could use this info: you can solo tracks from the Sequence Editor. True, and there are some things I love about the solo mode like clicking it on and having the last tracks I solo’d come up without having to look for them. There are also some thing...

Re: The Top 10 Most Requested Features

I’m almost entirely interested in usability improvements. 1. Scroll wheel zoom. 2. SOLO BUTTON on track in sequence window. Actually, just make all the windows have all the functions. It’s weird to me that you can only do certain basic tasks in certain windows. It’s not 1996. 3. Trim tool should aut...

Might rebuilding Launch Services fix this? Just guessing.

Re: Keyboard Maestro Question

Tried the KM trial, but it was rather opaque and I didn't have the time or interest to follow through with it. Scanning the manual it was not clear what it does that I can't do as easily by assigning shortcuts to Finder commands, or writing scripts. That was my impression. Everything I looked at in...

Re: How do I turn "relative grid mode" OFF!

It two ways of working that makes makes sense to different people. I never use relative mode, in any program. It seems awkward. It would be nice to have an option.

I read that as "grow hair on my back" and thought "to each his own".

That’s how I use it, but you can set it up for different things.

Re: COLOR: This is how I wish we could make DP's mixer look.

I like the last suggestion a lot. Having that sort of ghosted color right thru the track would make it much easier to work with - but if they do that, I would hope that they would give you some control over saturation. If you could either dial up/down how much color was showing, or have a couple of...

Re: Key command to switch quantize values?

I know this is old, but I just updated 2 of my computers from 10.6.8 to 10.8.5. One the desktop Quickeys works and quits fine. On the laptop I get the QuicKeysSystemHelper hanging at shutdown. I don't know why it's even showing in the "force quit" window, but I'm sure that's part of the pr...

Can’t you take the click and run it through your chain you used and record it back in to see how off it is?

Re: A-ha, I was wondering where those went...

Well that’s weird, I was using OpenDNS and so just thought it was funny and ignored it. But today I got the Little Snitch popup on DP startup and it was still asking to connect to This American Life. I disabled OpenDNS a couple of weeks ago and am just using the Comcast default.

Re: Which DAW most like DP?

Pro Tools, in my opinion. They have some big differences, but are much more alike than Logic or Live for instance. It depends on what it is you’re interested in. As far as audio editing DP and PT are very similar. As for MIDI and VI’s they have some differences.
