Great post B-12. I agree about the fast setups and wish MOTU would have come up with some PCI processing to rival PT on those points. My thing is they already do have enough PCI power. Cuemix is just the software to use is. All I want is Native DP control over that DSP. I think it's silly for DP to...

I know only TDM systems do that. I'm very familiar with pro tools. I just don't like it. I know that it's really intended just for simple over dubs, but this program should be able to do this. I wouldnt be saying this if the hardware and software were made by different companies. Seriously, if they ...

DP Monitor comment
I'm running DP 5 with a MOTU2408mkIII interface. I have a question about DP's monitoring. Okay, if I set up a session and use the "Monitor thru effects" in the monitor setup window, I can use the auxes to create monitor mixes, but I have latency issues, of course. Now if I us the "dir...

Okay, I can not say this enough. The file, the project folder, audio files, everything having to do with this session is on a second drive. It might as well be an external because a second internal acts just as an external would, without regard to speed. There is no file in question on any users des...

sorry buddy. You're not reading right. I said a couple times that the project lies on an internal drive other than the system/boot. This particular drive is set to ignore ownership. ( press the apple button and the i for get info ) I'm not trying to open a file off of someone elses loggin. No offens...

permission problem with a file
/Users/recording/Desktop/Picture 1.png I get this message when trying to open this file from all of my logins except my admin login. I have 2 drives other than my system drive that are in my machine that I keep projects on. I have several users on this computer so projects often get opened up from u...

I have never defraged. I was under the impression that OSX did not need it. Nothing in my system has changed that I can think of. I have used disk utitly on all drives to repair permissions and disk with a little improvement, but not much. Like I said, my sessions are only lagging when starting the ...

What I'm trying to say is this is new problem. I have been using DP for several years and I've never had this much lag on any mix. I've had larger more intensive mixes that have ran better than a 16- 24 track with small plugs and not much automation. I think it might be because of the latest version...
