DP 4.61 Hangs and won't respond...

Hi All, I boot a project in Dp (4.61), and as soon as it gets to MSI it hangs (looking for patches) it usually took a while, but it's never done this before. I'm using the original version of MSI 1.0. I've uninstalled everything MSI related Via "Uninstall") and by searching for ALL MSI fil...

Hears the problem

I was changing sounds in SI and then stopped the process to use another one, crashed DP, now DP locks up or computer locks or goes into kernal panic as it's loading symphonic instruments, any body know of files to take out to let it regenerate? Reinstall?

OK, Next issue...

I recently got an 828mkll to go along with my 2408mkll (pci-324). running DP 4.51. I figured now I can break out the analog outs and mix Out of the Box. Seems that since I've introduced the 828 into the "Mix" (as it were) playback is stuttering and it seems as though it's slowed down, crac...

Thanks...

That link brought me (somehow) back to the main index.

Very helpful.
Let me see if I understand you correctly though: A lightpipe connection between the 2408 and the 828. 2408 as master. Run DP on both machines and have the slave 828/laptop be the "Plug-in farm"?

Best use for 2 Macs...?

I'm running 4.51 on a dual 1.25. I have a 12" PowerBook G4/1.33 GHz sitting around. Also using a 2408mkll (pci-324) and a 828mkll. I often run MSI and other virtuals, you can only imagine what it does in the audio performance window.... Here's the question: how can I link the 2 machines to use ...

what I meant was if I were to downgrade my OS from Tiger back to Panther, what would end up happening? according to the install options, my user settings would remain the same, but the old system folder would be renamed and called "Previous System". If I do this what do have to look forwar...

Hi Phil

Very logical. Which of course leads me to ask an illogical question: Is there a way to work this backwards? eg is there a way to go back to the "safer" system., I've experimented with this on another drive. I installed Panther on that (no previous system was there) and 4.61 works, minus my...

This problem just started after updating my OS to 10.4.8.

I recently updated my system to 10.4.8. Now when I attempt to record I get a message that says: An unexpected error occurred with one of the record enabled takefiles. The takefile has been disabled for recording. This happens with every track I enable. Anyone else had this issue? What's the fix? and ...

You're not really getting what I'm talking about. Not hearing anything out of the ANALOG OUTS no matter what I do in cuemix or in DP or ITUNES FOR THAT MATTER. I CAN listen/monitor through MAIN OUTS 1-2, they work, and that seems to be all that works. IS THER SOMETHING I"M NOT DOING RIGHT? Anyo...

On the right of the console youll see a MASTER volume fader, just above the fader on bus 1 youll see MAIN out, if you click in that box, you can change the output of any of the FOUR busses to any destination you want. Pretty easy. Hope this helps Thanks, but that didn't really help, wish it did. I'...

828 MKll Analog 1-2 out issues...

G4 Dual 1.25 1 gig RAM System 10.3.9 I've just installed the drivers for the 828 MKll, the Main outs 1-2 work fine. I would rather monitor from Audio outs 1-2 so as not to have to change my track output settings for each DP 4.61 file. (This unit is on loan so that would be a major task.) I've set up...

Re: Just Got It...

I called tech support and got the scoop: Set the output to a pair of busses, and input them to a stereo track, common sense really, should be in the manual though.
