Re: MIDI options for Digital Performer and VE Pro

thanks for the suggestion, lets give it a try: For those not familiar with the concept of a printing machine, it's a secondary machine that you send all your audio to to be mixed, bussed into stems, and recorded. Also you can run your video off the print machine. The advantages of which are primaril...

MIDI options for Digital Performer and VE Pro

Hey, I'm running VE Pro standalone alongside DP, with all my audio going to a different computer for the mix. Initially I was going to send my MIDI to VE Pro using MOL pipes, but this resulted in feedback. Am I to understand that you can't select or deselect which MIDI inputs DP receives? It seems t...

I've had this several times and it was the card itself (not the 2408, the card). Returned it and got a replacement and it worked. My problem was not just on input though, so maybe this is something else.

So we can write whatever CC's we want, but still there doesn't seem to be a way to isolate the view of those "custom" CC's. Say I write with controllers 124 and 126, the only way I can view them is if I view all the other damn CC's at the same (damn) time! Right?

Re: Anybody doing MIDI/LAN networking?

Hey Jaime/Bob,

I had the same issue and finally found that I had to create a new device for DP to see... however, while they device tests out OK in Audio MIDI setup, DP only sees an italicized version, which essentially means it is inactive. Any suggestions on how to make it active?
