Starting new projects quickly
Hi, I have another way that works for me. I set up my "new" project, with all voice assignments, input assignments, sends for monitoring to the musicians, etc etc. Once it's all set I save as "new template". Then, every time I start a new project, it's all set to my favorite sett...

Re: DP vs Audio Desk
So ... to take this one step farther ...
Since I'm only doing audio (no VI's, MIDI, surround sound, etc.) - AudioDesk 2 should be dandy for me, right?
It looks like it also does some of the beat mapping, etc. like DP.
In actuality, AudioDesk 2 doesn't suck then! (?)

Re: Audio Desk 2 - opening AD1 projects
I think anyone will enjoy the new AudioDesk 2. I was super comfortable with AD1, so there's a little learning curve, but great added features. AD2 is a good step up. So far so good for me (but I'm about to move to Tiger).

High Priced gear with qualified/good "ears" = Great results. Low Priced, but clean, gear with qualified/good "ears" = still very good/great results. The best - high priced - gear in unqualified hands = mediocre results. Usually the "high price" follows great ears/skill....

Re: Audio Desk 2 - opening AD1 projects
Hey!!! GREAT to hear from another AD2 user! Yes, since I don't work with MIDI AD2 seems a good idea. I am using an iMac G3 and 828 mkI, with favorable results. Also use a iBook G4 for mobile stuff. The AudioDesk2 update did help many issues in opening old projects. Since I just got things stable, I ...

Re: Audio Desk 2 - opening AD1 projects
Ok, the update to Audio Desk 2 version 2.3 did help some of my issues ... guess I'll deal with this on my own. Sorry noone is available to talk about Audio Desk 2.

Audio Desk 2 - opening AD1 projects
Help, I am opening projects from AudioDesk 1 in the new AudioDesk 2 ... but sound bites are missing or in the wrong places. Some are still in the Sound bites window, but a few are just totally gone. Any tips on how to stop this from happening, or on opening these older projects more successfully? I ...

Re: Audio Desk 2 Users?
Hi, My first questions are: What folder do I put other plugins for Audio Desk 2 (extra ones, or new ones)? There used to be a plugins folder. Second, When opening AudioDesk 1 projects, I am sometimes losing soundbites (Sometimes I just go to Soundbites window and drag them back out ... other times t...

Since we're on limiting, how does "look ahead" work ... how can we use it, what does it do? Thanks for the input!

Audio Desk 2 Users?
Hi, how many audio desk 2 users are there out there? I'm looking for some discussion ... I just switched over from version 1. Is this a bad move? I don't use MIDI, so I thought this would be a good upgrade ... Right now, I'm losing some soundbites when opening projects from version 1 in version 2. A...
