I have two 896 interfaces..one HD version and one regular...im trying to daisy chain them via firewire for more inputs...the 896 HD is connected to my computer and the regular 896 runs to the HD...both interfaces show up in the Motu Audio Setup window but in DP i only see inputs for the HD interface...

i had the same problem...my right main output was fuzzy and distorted at any volume...i had to send it back to motu...$80 service repair...

I have never attemped to do the following so i was curious if i could get some advice...i am wanting to use my old 2408 optical out into a 896 optical out to a 896hd...will this work? or is there a better route to take...thanks for the help

The right channel on the main outs of my 896hd has an overdriven sound. The left channel works fine. The speaker and cable both work fine on their own. It sounds like a constant digital peak overdriving my signal. This problem has never occured before. Help! Thanks
