.
According to them at NAMM...not at first...but soon after its release. 2nd quarter. Intel processor based drivers for their hardware will be there within the next few days though. .
When has MOTU ever released a project on scheduale? I'd take 2nd quarter to actually be more like 3r...

iLok would blow, at least for us notebook users. Especially seeing how Apple only includes one USB port on their new macbooks. Get a Kensington USB Dome. It's got 7 ports, and works like a charm. I think I paid $15 for mine. It's heavy enough that it doesn't flop around the desktop. It has a long c...

I hear you as far as Universal Binaries are concerned but the New G5 towers aren't due until early to mid summer. If DP5 is released in March, the next update would probably be for Intel compatibility. Logic has always had a leg up on Motu because of the softsynth integration. Now Motu will be righ...

If you are a full-time DP user just relax and use the Quad or Dual G5's until the whole Intel thing is settled and stable? Sounds like a lot of whining for something that isn't that big of a deal...the Mac Intels are just hitting the streets and who knows how long it will take ALL of your software ...

Apple invented firewire. They have a vested interest keeping it around. Every DV Cam on the market uses firewire. Firewire is more popular than ever, it's on something like 50% of PC's now, and the # is climbing. I don't know how this silly rumor started, but Firewire is NOT going away anytime soon.

I call BS on Apple dropping firewire - I mean EVERY DV Cam on the market uses firewire and it's more popular than ever. Do they expect everyone to buy express card adapters than? You should hear the clamoring in the Mac comunity over them dropping FW800 on the macbook, they'd really be alienating th...
