MIDI expressXT Question

I have a Roland V-Drum brain, the TD-12, hooked up to input 1 on an expressXT.

The input light for channel 1 and all 8 of the output lights are constantly on whether I am playing the V-Drums or not.

Is this normal?

Thanks.

Re: M-audio Profire Lightbridge

I have "ADAT channels first" selected and still get the same results.

Even if I set "SPDIF channels first" the SPDIF outputs are labeled 3-4.

What is taking up 1-2?

Re: M-audio Profire Lightbridge

Sorry to thread jack here, but I just got a Profire Lightbridge and am using it with DP6. For some reason my outputs show up as ADAT 3-4 when they should be ADAT 1-2, but I get sound to the appropriate output. And my inputs start with ADAT 3 when they should start with ADAT 1, but again, I get input...

I have had this same issue for a while now and have never been able to find a fix.

I'd love to know if there is a solution.

metal kick samples

I know the topic of getting that "metal" kick sound has been discussed here before, but my question is if anyone has any samples they are willing to share or knows of any samples of the stereotypical metal kick sound. Many modern metal recordings seem to use the same sample sound and I am ...

I am a drummer and have a small project studio. I am a novice at recording but I'll throw my mic setup in the mix. I record many styles of music and have had great luck with Audix mics. They sound great and are reasonably priced. Kick: Audix D6 Snare: SM57 or Audix i5 Racks: Audix D2's Floors: Audix...

The resolution seems odd to you because you are used to 4:3 monitors (800x600, 1024x768, etc).

Widescreen monitors (16:9 ratio) have different resolution sizes because of the different aspect ratio.

You will see sizes like 1024x640, 1152x720 & 1440x900.

Hope that helps.

There is inly one instance and it is port down.

Is there a way to change port down to up? Port up would allow me to connect to to my MIDI Express XT.

Thanks to everyone for all of the help troubleshooting.

Actually I just tried it again without Multirecord enabled and I can record MIDI data with no input selected.

I guess I'll just have to live with not being able to physically see the input selection. No biggie I guess.

BTW, there are no drivers. The O2 is class compliant .
