Re: Quickscribe lyrics-to-notes

Thanks, Tim.
I guess I'll be getting back into good ol' system 9 & Mosiac!

Quickscribe lyrics-to-notes

A customer asked me to do a lead sheet. I went to the book to figure out how to attach lyrics to the individual notes using Quickscribe. I can't find it. I find page text, and all other sorts of text attached to measures, etc., but nothing about attaching lyrics to notes. My work is 99.99% sequencin...

Re: calculating time between two markers

I use the "Time Scale" command (Regions Menu) for determining the length of any selected area in real time. As previously mentioned, clicking on any marker will select to the next marker. If you have multiple markers, you can hold "shift" and keep selecting from one marker to the...

Have you actually scrolled your pitch window up and down in a search for the bari notes? I sometimes record a bass vocal and upon opening the pitch layer, it can't be seen until I search a lower octave. Also, once in a while, DP just can't identify a pitch and it will give you the grey bar, maybe ju...

Reverse plug-in?

Hey.
I'm on 4.61 and from time to time I use the "reverse" plug-in, which is located under the Audio menu>Audio Plug-ins.

I was at a friend's studio the other day, who's on 5.11, and there's no such plug-in on his list. Has this been removed in version 5?

Ver-r-r-y curious.
Thx,
AB

Moving faders in bulk?

I think I've done this before, but . . . on the DP mixing board, isn't there a way to hold some command key and move all the faders at once? I needed to do it today and completely drew a blank. Duh.

Thanks,
AB

I'm on a G4, 1.25 ghz single, with 2 gig RAM. I used to have the processor spikes consistently, but I seem to have stumbled onto some settings which help. Buffers @ 512 Medium work priority AND . . . Background Processing set for "Wait until DSP analysis is needed" . Actually, I do believe...

It's an Apple thing. Not MOTU. Check it out . . hold your curser over one of the buttons in this forum . . . "Profile", for instance. Voila! You get a pop-up.

Hey, thanks zed. I got Speedster up and running. Now . . . there seems to be a phasing problem when I apply Speedster to a stereo track. Everything panned center (kick, snare, bass . . .) seems to drop out, and the stereo image gets wierd. I've messed around with the settings on the Speedster interf...

Hi. I guess I'm a big dummy, but I downloaded Speedster and I can't figure out how to open it. It went into my "downloads" folder, and won't do anything when I double-click its icon. Do I need to put it somewhere else? How do I get it to connect with DP? (OSX10.4.10, DP 4.61) Help?? Thanks...

What type of files are your mono tracks? (wav? MP3? aiff?) Digital Performer wants to see Sound Designer II files in order to combine 2 monos into a stereo. Here's how I do it . . . A friend sends me some dubs of a stereo electric guitar pass (usually mailed to me on CDR. (Sometimes emailed as MP3's...

PS. You can also select all your automation nodules in the Sequence Editor by double-clicking on one of them. Then use the same "Change Continuous Data" method for raising or lowering level. You could also use the "Trim" plug-in to expand or shrink the overall level of the soundb...
