How much were the Silent EX fans... how dramatic was the noise reduction?

I was told elsewhere that the dual 1.25 G4s are super-noisy (cooling fans).

Thanks for the reply.

Will ANY G4 work?

If so I want to get the last, fastest 'best' G4, which I believe is the dual 1.25 gHz.

Hi I have an ancient blue/white G3 that has some MOTU PCI cards in it, and also some SCSI cards. I want to transplant all of this stuff into the newest possible Mac. According to the specs on the Apple site, I should be able to put all of my PCI cards into any desktop G4. I also see that among the e...

Advice requested: moving fromcrusty G3 to G5

Hi All It is time for me to finally dump my 6-year old blue/white G3/450Mhz. A few questions about the upgrade to a G5 nag me: I have limited funding, so buying a new MIDI Time Piece and 2408/PCI324 are things I would like to avoid. Yes, I know my gear is a bit old, but it does what I need it to do,...
