Oh, and EVERY string library I've ever used has glissandos or runs of varying lengths and speeds going up into sustained notes. Sounds like you need to break out the documentation that came with the library and do some readin!!!!

The old Virtuoso Strings library has a couple really good samples of exactly what you're talking about. I can't imagine the new East West library wouldn't have one as well. In the Setup/Automation Setup there is an option called "Mute frees system resources". This will cause muted tracks to let go of the CPU completely. The trade off is that if you mute a track in playback, all audio playback will cut out for about a second and a half. I personally have this ...

Okay, check this out. I have DP slaved to the RADAR, and the audio is way latent. I turn off ALL plugins, tracks are in sync again. I unslave DP, make RADAR slave to DP, and all is in sync again. So it appears something is wrong with ADC while you're in External Sync. BUT....there is another wrinkle...

Getting rid of beat detection
Is there any way to remove beat information from a file once it's been processed? Somehow it keeps sneaking in even though I've got automatic detection off?
