Re: Warning RE: UADx Update 8/8/23

I've also had problems with UA plug ins. Purchased $1000 worth of plug ins only to find out not one of them will work properly with DP. When I open a project that has the plug in, it just crashes, and refuses to open properly. I opened a ticket with DP's support, and they had the same thing happen a...

VENTURA messing up waveforms....in DP11.22.

Unfortunatley I had to deliver my mac for an issue in the firmware. When I received it back they had upgraded my OS to Venture (which I had asked them not to do!). Everything seems to work fine, but now in opening DP11, the visual display of the waveforms in the soundbytes are really jagged. Anyone ...

DP11 and Novation Launchpad Pro Mk3? Compatible?

Hello kind people, I'm wondering if I can use the Novation Launchpad Pro Mk3 with Digital Performer 11? It says it uses HUI, but I'm unsure about this. Is there anything I need to do to get them to talk to one another and play nicely, like good DAWS should? Any advice would be greatly appreciate, wi...

No MONO outs appearing in DP11 with virtual instruments?

Hope someone here might be able to help me out (with kind thanks in any case). I'm having an issue when I use virtual instruments (Spectrasonics, Spitfire Audio, UVI, etc) and when I click the OUT selection, only stereo outs appear (and buses), but no mono selections appear at all. This means even t...

Re: Farewell to MachFive 3?

I too am highly disatisfied with the way MOTU has handled transitioning their software to their new macs. They say "it works with UVI player", but it doesn't, and even after contacting UVI about this, they informed me that indeed MOTU's files for virtual instruments DO NOT WORK on the new ...

Call Focusrite in the UK, they are extremely friendly and VERY helpful. You'll be amazed. The guy who invented the software or hardware might even answer the phone! I called about the Focusrite Liquid Channel I purchased and the guy who was responsible for it answered. They were great -- very down t...

Question for your stunning experts out there! AW4416 + DP?

Hello friends, Wonder if any of you can help me out with something. I have a Yamaha AW4416 hard disc recorder/mixer and wonder if its possible to somehow use this as a mixer with DP5.6 (soon to be v.6)? I have a MacIntel 3Ghz, and use the MOTU 896 and a MOTU MIDI XT. Is there any way to get all this...

I'll add to the explanations above.... I've used Logic for a recording project and found we wasted alot of time on it, doing stuff that in DP took less time. Also, the singer deleted 4 hours of vocal takes in one swoop, and you can't do that in DP! We wasted a whole day and I discovered that by choo...

I think its really commendable that James has pointed out that this is not a "boy's club", and that there are women that also are members here. Also, there are even a few transgendered members that I know of, one of who has been a major influence on my own music. So again, this board reall...

Looks like the TC works support is much better in the US than in Europe. Their main office is in Denmark... Well, I'm not gonna gripe again (imagine that!) but great that you got things sorted out. They never did sort the final issue I had with them....but there I go again.... Can someone untie my s...

I Second that commotion!

Frankly, I'm not only disappointed by TC Works on how they handle problems, but....well, I've already posted my ranting about them earlier on this board. For some strange reason, they act like a company who disregards its mac users. They are completely arrogant in their handling of their customers, ...

Just a word of warning -- I have 4 GB memory and when using BFD2 this just isn't enough. I'll need at least 6, but play to purchase 4 GB more.... its a bit of a drag, because it keeps crashing on me. I don't think they've got all the bugs worked out. A kit takes like 1GB of RAM when it loads, and th...

I bought it in a group buy, and have to say it impressed the hell out of me. So much that I sent AudioEase a thank you email! It works perfectly with DP, and for sound design, it is AMAZING. You can do all sorts of things with it, and even just use the samples that come with it. Best of all, its ver...

169 Euros is a lot of money for something you will only use as an efx.... how often would anyone use this, unless you are in Kraftwerk or play with Laurie Anderson (who plays alone!)..... they need to drop the price and make sure the bugs are gone, then it might be of interest to more people. Right ...
