Re: Snapping options are all disabled.
Hmm, they're enabled in Sequence view. Switch to Track view and they're all disabled/greyed out. That must be by design — for a reason beyond my newbie paygrade. But at least I know what to do! (Switch to Sequence view!)

Snapping options are all disabled.
All my snap options are disabled. My track view has the focus. The Grid options at the top right-ish (near the 'G') are all disabled. I have the Snap Information window open and every snap option is also disabled (except Nudge). In View | Grid, everything is enabled: edit lines, edit lines while sna...

Only show tracks in my track group
So I've got a track group set up. I'd like to display only the tracks in this track group and hide the rest. How do I do that? I can hunt down one of the tracks in the track group and alt/opt click on that, but that means I have to hunt down one of the member tracks first. Isn't there a way, like in...

Re: More than 4 MIDI ports??
Before I do the work of splitting my instance, I'd like to know if I really have to.

More than 4 MIDI ports??
I have a Vienna Ensemble Pro instance that uses 7 ports (16 channels per port). However, DP only lets me create a VEP instance with 4 ports. Is this hard-coded? Or is there a preference I can change? (I looked and didn't find any likely culprits.) That is, if I Add Track | Instrument With Options | ...

Commands: how do you empty a key sequence?
In Setup | Commands I have a command with an assigned key sequence that I'd like to revert to empty. I want to remove that key sequence entirely (and not assign it to anything else). How do I do that? If I select the key sequence and then press 'Delete' or 'cmd-X', DP wants to make THAT the new key ...

Re: Editing Continuous Controllers on the MIDI page vs. Sequence
Why, yes there is! I just wasn't making the Sequence page lanes tall enough to see the "Points/Bars/Lines" dropdown.

Editing Continuous Controllers on the MIDI page vs. Sequence - RESOLVED
On the MIDI page I can select whether I want to display/edit continuous controllers as Points, Bars, or Lines.
Is there a way to select the continuous controller display/edit mode (Points/Bars/Lines) on the SEQUENCE page?
Thanks!

Re: How to solo a track
Apparently what I was missing is that if you click the 'Solo Mode' button (the big 'S' button at the top), alt-click on Play respects the XMPT setting. If you don't have Solo Mode selected, it doesn't respect the XMPT setting.

How to solo a track
So there's the XMPT column in track view, which, as I understand it, means that if I SOLO a track (opt-click), tracks marked XMPT are not muted. Ferinstance, you wouldn't want the output mains muted when you solo an audio/MIDI track. But that's exactly what's happening. (BTW, I do entirely MIDI proj...

Why am I seeing two grids?
Only in MIDI view, not Track or Sequence. Dark heavier lines are the beats. But what about the other thinner purple-ish(?) ones?

Copy/paste MIDI?
I select a soundbite. I r-click and 'copy'. I move the playhead somewhere else. I have the same track selected in Track view. I r-click and select 'paster'. Nothing happens.
Can't get copy/paste to work in Sequence view either.
How do I copy/paste MIDI data in DP? What am I missing?
Thanks!
