just registered an account to say this exact thing is happening to me. changed cables, computer, everything in sequence to suggest its in the firmware or hardware of the box. i get a distorted 'bitcrushed' sound, resetting the sample rate fixes this in mac osx monterey. i'm concerned as a profession...
