Re: how to know if there is any clipping in my audio?

Let's say you receive audio recorded by someone else. And you want to see if the track has some clipping in it. Some audio editors will just show you those stats. I've seen some show the clips as red vertical lines. (It would be tedious to have to play a whole track and stare at meters to see if/wh...

Re: How to analyze my final mix comparing with other daw

If you have used Digital Performer for any time, I think you know the answer to this. It does not have that same feature from Reaper. Reaper doesn’t have some features that Digital Performer has, either. I certainly don’t have time to go into a comparison of each DAW. I would say this though, that ...

Re: Mono or stereo?

Mono source > mono track Stereo source > stereo track. You can process a mono track through stereo FX to increase width in the stereo spectrum. For example, I bus my mono vocals into stereo reverbs and delays. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Man I wish some body could point me to some youtube vi...

Re: how to know if there is any clipping in my audio?

This is a really good question. My way is to watch the meters WHEN I RECORD. A red clipping indicator shows that the recording was clipped, and I start over. But I don't know if there's a way to tell if an existing track has clipping in it. It would be very useful! That is very strange how can a DA...

Re: resonance suppressor?

I'm not sure I'd call that resonance - you just want to get that buzzyness out I guess? It's an EQ solution, but if a steep lowpass filter doesn't work, my first move'd be FabFilter Pro-Q and see if you can see the offending frequency and remove it. Any EQ that displays frequency would could do it,...
