When playing an audio file back from the Finder window a stereo file plays through Computer USB Main 1-2 as expected. Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere - if I have outboard gear attached to the MOTU In/Outs is the routing between them all analogue? Is CueMix just a software interface to allow digital control of the analogue paths? Or is every signal in converted to digital and then back again to analogue to...

It seems the MOTU likes everything to be switched on first. If I turn on the outboard gear, then the MOTU and finally the Mac, then everything works. If I switch on the Mac & MOTU first then the input issue arrises.

If I play something out of the computer or talk into the mic with 3-6 on CueMix up, then all the output from the Ultralite to the two hardware boxes ...

Ah-ha! The output trim on the Cuemix software default is -20dB. Problem solved!

Hi - i've recently purchased and ultralite mk5 to replace a (no longer supported) Focusrite Forte. I've noticed that the volume level seems a lot lower coming out of the MOTU than on the Forte - where i'd have the Forte at say -50dB to get the equivalent volume from the MOTU i'm cranking the output ...
