Re: Keystep 37 USB MIDI with DP question
There's a fully functional demo of DP that gives you a month. Try that out before jumping ship. If you like most of the features of Lite, DP should be pretty agreeable - though deeper and with very accurate documentation. Didn´t know about the full demo, that´s good to know I´ll try that out. Thank...

Re: Keystep 37 USB MIDI with DP question
The worst part for Motu is that anybody thinking of buying the FULL version (like me) will have second thougths, or just move on to another DAW. I agree that it´s very nice of them to give out this free version although being a stripped version, but really, time is money, and not everybody wants to ...

Re: Keystep 37 USB MIDI with DP question
One more thought, do you have Analog Lab, any of the synths or the MIDI Control Center running standalone in the background? The Arturia stuff likes exclusive access to their devices so you cannot share the device with other apps. It will still show up in Lite bundles, but all the MIDI is routed to...

Re: Keystep 37 USB MIDI with DP question
You shouldn't need any MIDI cables if you are connected via USB. I have two different Arturia keyboards attached via only USB to different Windows machines with no difficulty. The default MIDI input on a track is ANY and you normally would not have to change this. You should also not have to create...

Still puzzled by this USB MIDI vs MIDI thing. Anywhos, the thing is that it works now.
Thanks to those who tried to help.

Re: Keystep 37 USB MIDI with DP question
Ok I deleted any control surface option, so nothing there now. After reading the included manual/guide, I opened the Bundles tab/window. The Arturia Keystep 37 shows up in the MIDI Devices tab/colum aswell as the Motu M2, but I still can´t change the INPUT setting in my MIDI track, it´s set to ANY. ...

Re: Keystep 37 USB MIDI with DP question
Something like that, but it dosen´t show anything like I have seen in full versions (or older). My last DAW was Cubase 8.5 so DP Lite is quite new to me.
The Keystep is working because it dose work with the Arturia MIDI Control Center, were you can tweak MIDI settings and update firmware.

Re: Keystep 37 USB MIDI with DP question
Shooting in the dark here, but control surfaces should trigger transports and faders. You need a MIDI channel to trigger instruments. Is the Keystep outputting MIDI data? Is the Keystep showing up as an input to a MIDI track? If so, you need to create an instrument track with the plugin, and route ...

Keystep 37 USB MIDI with DP question
Hi folks, Been away from the music scene these past years but I have always had issues getting my keyboard controllers to work via USB in my DAWS. It seems this time around it wasent gonna be different! I just bought the M2 and Iam using DP Lite, I just recently also bought a Arturia Keystep 37 cont...

Re: M2 USB C Performance
Ok thanks to all for the clarification, mainly that the M2 is using the USB 2.0 protocol. If I would have known that from the begining, I would have not even bother asking, sorry my bad. Apart from the reversable plug, I don´t get all the hype behind a type-C port besides the protocol, if in the cas...

Re: M2 USB C Performance
Thanks for your reply Bayswater. As stated in my post, my PC has a USB-C port. In other words, my motherboard is a Gigabyte Aorus Z390 Pro, which among other USB ports has a USB type-C port which supports USB 3.1 Gen 2 specification and is compatible to the USB 3.1 Gen 1and USB 2.0 specification. It...

M2 USB C Performance
Hi, I just recently bought a M2 but havent hooked it up to my PC yet, which also has a USB-C port aswell. I was wondering if buying a USB-C to USB-C (USB 3.0) would benefit my transfer speeds (send/recevie) to my PC from/to the M2? While at it, should I plug-in my Arturia Keystep 37 MIDI out to my M...
