Re: DP 11 (Windows) - Using live backing tracks and optimizing outputs when moving to different audio interfaces
I use a Mac but the concept is the same. I believe that bundles work identical on both platforms, so, bundles are your friend what I do, is I return both my click track as well as backing tracks to two of the USB returns. I said FX 4 to returns 7 & 8 and that plays my backing track. I set FX 3 t...

Re: Problems setting up Zoom.US with DP
I believe that I read that Zoom does not support multi-channel ASIO driver types so as far as inputs are concerned use only 1 & 2 at least these is true on my Focusrite Clarett X. also this on creating a mix suitable for video conferencing https://support.focusrite.com/hc/en-gb/articles/11500079...

Re: DP 9.13 fade-problems not solved
I've stayed out of these threads because, I confess, this hasn't been an issue for me. Except for special effects like a slow cross-fade or a fade-down at the end of a song, I never use fades. They are unnecessary to hide a splice. Instead, I match the amplitude of adjoining wave forms to make my e...

Re: DP 9.13 fade-problems not solved
So how do we work past this until Motu releases a patch?
It will be a pain to write fades elsewhere. Can we downgrade?

Thanks, yes I do the same and it does work great. Now I open the MIDI tracks up in the drum editor and instead of seeing Snare, hh, kick etc. I see note names. I can do this manually its not that big of a deal, but I think there is a more intelligent workflow that is escaping me. Drum programming is...

Thanks James, yes sir. I did ask on the xlnaudio forum several weeks ago but I guess there isn't a lot of DP users there. I thought I might find a few here. You, for example use AD don't you? Would you mind sharing how you work with it? Do you have to set channels manually? Am I not asking politely ...

how to see channel assignments for Addictive Drums
does anyone know how to setup a device group for Addictive Drums, please? I want to see actual instrument names in the drum editor for my Addictive drums. We (Dp) do not use MIDI maps per se do we? I think the way to do that is device groups but I am not sure. Also having problems with dragging MIDI...

peanut butter in my chocolate
I recorded some rhythm tracks the other day, guitar, stand up bass and a scratch vocal. I would have preferred instruments only but guitarist needs to sing to keep his time. whatever. Bleed is good sometimes. I don't have a lot of bleed but some. So then I notice a bass note really off the beat. so ...

Lock beats
That was an excellent tutorial and right on time for me. I have an early performance that is (so far) just rhythm section with many overdubs to come. It is all over the map tempo-wise so I used Record beats to put it in on my keyboard and then followed your instruction on adjust beats. I adjusted bo...

I've got a starter system you can have for a whole lot less than that. My G4 MDD (rackmounted with a marathon kit) so you can stick in a rack case and close it up for quiet tracking with a 424 card, three hard drives, running perfectly. It started to slow down when I added 12 or so instances of Alti...

Mine turned out to be the cable. I used analog cables and they should have been digital. there is a good resource for hunting down DA88 problems at http://www.silentway.com/tips.html down close to the bottom. That is how I found my problem.
Hope this resource helps you.

I have the Tascam 3200. I love it. The firewire card with 32 in and 32 out makes life much easier. It interfaces perfectly with DP and having 16 nice quality preamps and faders galore is great. Aside from the Controller section and additional pres I'm not sure what the other differences are. I recor...
