Re: MIDI Piano track does not want to bounce to disk properl
Real time recording. You can confidence monitor while recording. Simple. Effective. You can use your "magical" effects chain without any need to create a new project. But...but...but... sometimes the BTD time is the ONLY break I get! Something really weird is going on too because I recrea...

Re: MIDI Piano track does not want to bounce to disk properl
Sounds like a plan. But to get the problem solved for a looming deadline, I'd just import the track into my project and get it done. THEN I'd start messing with it. Yes. I also realized something that may be a factor. I was working on an old tune of mine from the 1990's the night before the soloist...

Re: MIDI Piano track does not want to bounce to disk properl
Decided to try just command C on the MIDI track, create a fresh MIDI only project, add Pianoteq and bounce - it's flawless. Thing is I had a blend and an EQ and Proverb aux track sounding perfect for final mix. Maybe if I add one thing at a time to this new project and bounce at each stage then the ...

Re: MIDI Piano track does not want to bounce to disk properl
Are there any other VIs in the same channel? Again, the piano (or other complex VI with lots of samples and, especially, heavy scripting, are best in ONE instance of the VI, with no other instruments sharing that fader in the mixer. There is only one instance each (of the two VIs used). I even trie...

MIDI Piano track does not want to bounce to disk properly
So I have a single track feeding Pianoteq studio and MOTU MACH five Piano VIs and it plays perfect but randomly drops out when bouncing to disk. I tried a bunch of things - remove all audio plugs from the sequence, tried taking MACH five away and then Pianoteq away but both VIs exhibit the same boun...

I remember that! sealed/heavily insulated room with no windows - The G5 and the MCI 400 series put out more than enough heatmikehalloran wrote:If your room isn't warm enough on cold winter days, you can always move the G5 back in.

Re: Lost individual MIDI inputs in DP
Tada!!! Haven't touched that feature in many years. Strange that all songs new and old (in old and new versions and systems) would default back to single record but thanks for the reminder about multi-record!

SOLVED (duh!) Lost individual MIDI inputs in DP
Every MIDI input in DP just says "any" instead of being able to choose, let's say, my drum pads to feed Superior drummer while my keyboard feeds ivory etc. At first I thought it had something to do with Sierra or DP9 but it's doing the same thing if I boot up off my older system drives (10...

Re: dealing with latency during tracking...
Before DP9.5 it was always a problem I just went from 8.5 to 9.51 but simultaneously doubled the speed of my computer so I didn't realize how much impact the new software had on the reduced latency! You might discover that 1066 RAM is really 1333 if you do this: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT20...

And, I can use reverb either from my Hardware, or a plugin in the DAW, while tracking live with low latency! Finally! Very happy. Juts wanted to share in case others wonder if it is possible on their end using the Symphony Control software. ~Shea Excellent! They are a premier digital audio company ...

I will do as Mike says and update DP. Hopefully I can get 32 to run with my session size, after that. As for the Symphony manual: they only lay out what each feature is, but do not go into how to set anything up ... Back when I had my Apogee 16 remembered they had their own version of cue mix and i...
