Simple quickscribe question...
I looked in the manual and have explored every quickscribe menu (I think) but can't find the answer to this: I have a 20" widescreen monitor, and would like to display two pages of the quickscribe score next to eachother. I'm using the consolidated view with the tracks on the top and quickscrib...

Re: FYI: GPO Group Buy
Well, you make some good points. I've read the people on VI Control making fun of you (sorry!) for comparing your library with the bigger libraries. I guess you really do! Some one told a story there about talking to you (at NAMM I think it was) where he told you that he thought your library was a n...

Re: FYI: GPO Group Buy
You're a nice guy, Garritan, and I think your new violin sounds wonderful, but GPO just doesn't stand its ground against anything but Silver. Once you get into Gold, Opus 1, Sonic Implants, etc. there is no comparison. GPO could be a nice place to start, especially if you use Finale (they use Finale...

Re: FYI: GPO Group Buy
You don't have to show any proof for the crossgrade. Believe me. It is only $500. Go to soundsonline-forums.com and ask Doug or Nick - they don't require proof.

Re: FYI: GPO Group Buy
Gold is now $500 not $995 - check soundsonline.com That is only $370 more than GPO and you get 16GB of sound as opposed to 2 and it sounds infinitely better. Oh! And read the fine print of the group buy, I heard it doesn't come with everything the traditional GPO package comes with. <small>[ May 18,...

Re: FYI: GPO Group Buy
I don't think GPO is worth $130 unless you plan on using it in Finale. The quality, especially the strings, are simply not up to par with EWQLSO Silver, and especially, Gold. Gold is only $500 and it sounds infinitely better than GPO. I would save your money if you're contemplating buying this. Even...

Re: Symphonic Instrument demos up!
Not to mention a few of the demos sounded too much like Elfman. I am so sick of all the damn pseudo-Elfman rip off music thats popular nowdays. I know that has nothing to do with the quality of the samples - but still, it annoys me! <small>[ April 30, 2005, 03:30 PM: Message edited by: MwaileyBear ]...

Symphonic Instrument demos up!
Saw this posted at Northern Sounds, and thought you all might be interested. Symphonic Instrument Demos Its apparently a German site (I think) - the demos are listed under "Ecouter" on the left. And after my first listen, I must say that I'm a bit dissapointed. You might as well just spend...

Re: Extremely unhappy with the state of Motu and MIDI
I am a complete technical newbie that switched within the past months from Cubase and PCs to DP 4.52 and Macs, and to be completely honest, I have very few problems - certainly less than all the damn driver issues I had with Cubase and Windows. I'm running a dual 2.0GHZ G5 with 4GB of RAM - I use on...

Re: VI questions from a new user
Yes, that worked, thank you very much. I have to say though, that I find going to the mixer to re open the instrument a bit silly. Why the mixer? Oh well, the windows don't close that often - only when I use the consolidated view presets thingy-mah-deals.
Thank you greatly!!
Thank you greatly!!

VI questions from a new user
I've been a Cubase user for a while, but have recently switched to DP and I have two very simple I'm sure, frustrating question about DP. I can load two virtual instruments just fine, if I load a third it will replace one of the others in its window, and I'll have to cycle back and forth in that men...

Re: Symphonic Instrument by March 20th?
I don't understand the last post. I don't think that Symphonic Instrument is trying to compete with EWQLSO Platinum, VSL or Sonic Implants professional libraries. But I do think that this Symphonic Instrument sounds like the best of the smaller libraries in the 250-300 range. Of course, we'll have t...

Re: A few G5 questions from a newbie Apple-user
Hello, Thank you for the responses. I'm glad you didn't say something like "NO, WHATEVER YOU DO DON'T DELETE THOSE PROGRAMS!!" because I already did. :D It just seems tidier and more efficient to me to have a hard drive that's completely barren except for 3 or 4 programs (and I left that c...

A few G5 questions from a newbie Apple-user
Greetings Unicornation! I moved to Boston this spring to attend Berklee College of Music as a film scoring and traditional composition major. I brought a junky old PC with me, but once I got here, Berklee required me to buy a PowerBook G4 and my father bought me a G5 and some software to help me com...
