Sorry to see you're having problems with MG and VEP. In my case they work flawlessly but I have to say I don't use VEP in my master computer (Mac Studio), Just the plugin that connects to my servers, therefore MG and DP are always in front. As MG becomes more complex, problems arise. As far as I kno...
Another thing I want to try to incorporate into my templates is something like this guy: https://youtu.be/2F519RN24Tw?si=euypdAirLjnvUaPR Yep. It's really cool. I use this approach along with Metagrid Pro. My template's got more than 1.5K tracks. It takes some organization and setup but once it's d...
Hi gents. Calling for your wisdom and knowledge. Spanish is my mother tongue. Nothing weird since I’m Spaniard :D but I’ve been using Digital Performer in English all the time. Since I’m using my Mac Studio Ultra (Mac OS 13.5 and DP 11.3) the app runs with all the menus and everything else in Spanis...
So what I do now to avoid that, is I keep my active composing chunk as lean as possible, and bring stuff (all prerouted) from a "Master Chunk" (where EVERYTHING lives) in that same project as needed. Sometimes I use clippings or even Loading chunks for this too. This is one of the best ti...
Hi people. I'm experiencing an extrange issue in 11.02: when I try to step record the program freezes and I have to restart. I'm able to record a few notes and then I get a spinning ball. I'm doing this on a fairly big template connected to 2 slaves via VEP. When I open the same template in 10.13 I ...
10.1 takes longer to load my (fairly big) template. Also moving tracks and folders takes longer as well, including spinning balls. None of that happened before in 10.01 and 9.52
This is simply not true. An aux track in a V-Rack is not going to be duplicated. Exactly. It's not true. I've run a test putting all the aux tracks inside the v-rack and everything seems fine. No duplications at all. What I did (the wrong way) was putting inside the v-rack only the auxes of one chu...
Every time you duplicate this you're going to get multiple master fader tracks with all the plug ins on it. This is simply not true. An aux track in a V-Rack is not going to be duplicated. If you bus an aux track to an aux track in the V-rack I could see this. Aux tracks don't have an off switch, r...
cojoncio, this clearly has nothing to do with V-Racks whatsoever and has everything to do with your having such an abundant number of AUX tracks in each sequence. With so many instances of MIR running, I am amazed your computer runs at all! :-) But more importantly, the AUXes you are using as retur...
Where are the 50-60 Aux tracks? in VEP, a V-Rack or in the individual Sequence Chunks? What is in your Sequence Chunk? If you can host the DP file on Dropbox or something that would be cool, but more than that, what is in your Sequences? What's in your V-Rack? Thanks Michael. I'm away from my studi...
He's missing information, steps in the process to have this issue. Likely this is an Aux problem. There isn't any rational reason that a MIDI only Sequence Chunk with tracks pointed at V-Racked instruments would double the CPU, and in any test I've done, it doesn't. So he didn't explain the problem...
