Memory diagnostics shows no problems
Not using VIs
The computer is only about 6 months old, but it could well be something system related as from time to time I'm having major slowdowns that are too frequent to be Windows updates/patches.

Re: Crashes during bounce
Safe mode didn't fix the problem with files where the bounce had already caused a crash. Two files I hadn't worked on yet worked okay in safe mode, but then a new file crashed as soon as I tried to bounce, so safe mode isn't fixing it.
Currently I'm not using any plug ins.

Re: Crashes during bounce
As in starting the computer in safe mode, or is there a safe mode in DP? Currently unable to start computer in safe mode. Windows 10 said using a pin was safer, and I've been using the pin so long, I forgot my password.

Crashes during bounce
For some time now I've been having problems with DP crashing as soon as I start bouncing a track to disk. At first it was sporadic, but once it happened in a project that project would crash every time a bounce was started. In the past day or so bounce doesn't work at all, but crashes DP every time ...

Re: editing tools working differently
Problems solved! Met with a friend who had introduced me to DP. Editing/sliding problem was because I had inadvertently overlaid two tracks. Problem with the scroll was solved by going to the drop down menu for view and clicking the autoscroll option to make sure the settings were where they needed ...

Re: editing tools working differently
the pointer tool is the only one showing as selected. I suspect that somehow a default setting got changed. The problem with the rolling/sliding and closing of the gap with deleted spaces only happens in the project where the problem originally appeared. When opening a new or previously created proj...

Re: editing tools working differently
Thanks. Tried taping 'a' twice, couldn't tell a difference. Tried 'Shift a' twice just in case upper or lower case made a difference. Still no change.
The pointer tool is showing as selected, not slip or roll.

editing tools working differently
Right now I mainly use DP to digitize and clean up my old LPs. I walked away from my computer leaving a project open for over an hour. When I returned and deleted a portion of an audio track, the two remaining halves came together eliminating the gap. When I selected the portion on the right to drag...
