Re: DP 10 and VST examination
A new question here: since DP doesn't appear to be consistent or stable between program shutdowns and restarts, is there a file, group of files, registry entry, or something that I could stash when the VSTs are working that I could reinstate when they are not working? Through this forum I have disco...

Re: DP 10 and VST examination
I feel for you iTrensharo and I only have a basic VST setup as you can see in my forum signature. The only solution I have found is to uninstall DP 10, copy all the VST files I what to load into "C:\Program Files\VSTPlugins", reinstall DP, start 64 bit and let it examine those VSTs upon fi...

Re: DP 10 and VST examination
Just to add more info. I reinstalled, made several adjustments and closed the program, even rebooted the computer several times, and all worked perfectly. After playing and saving one project with several virtual instruments and effects I closed DP and when I reopened that project approx. an hour la...

DP 10 and VST examination
Well, I have discovered some strange behavior as applies to Windows 10 and DP 10 64 bit and how it examines VSTs. When I uninstall and reinstall, DP 10 automatically examines all the VSTs contained in "C:\Program Files\VSTPlugins" with no path specified and they pass and function. However,...

Re: Can't Get Native Instruments VST to Load into DP10
I am glad to hear that you were able to get Kontakt to load correctly. I see I am a bit late to this post but if you have a moment could you elaborate on your method of deleting "everything" MOTU? Where might I find the preferences folder(s), cache files, MOTU Discovery, etc. I am somewhat...

Re: MIDI Program Change Issues in DP9
Thank you CharlzS for the thought about bundles. I believe I have my simple setup configured correctly in the bundles setup. However, I would like to share screen images of that setup with knowledgeable forum members like yourself and others. Is there some way to share such images via this forum?

Re: MIDI Program Change Issues in DP9
Thank you Kurt Cowling for all your good information. It seems to me that for DP purposes I would only need to set the Default Patch with no program change event in a given track for the correct program to be stored and recalled. My testing shows that not to be the case. How is the Default Patch set...

Re: MIDI Program Change Issues in DP9
Thanks to all who have replied to this post. I have discovered that if I remove the two bank select numbers from the DP program change event/function in each MIDI track, but leave the program change itself, the program change is sent. If I remove the entire event, no program change is sent, but why ...

Re: MIDI Program Change Problem in DP 9 & 10
Thanks for relying Frank but I did mention that I already have a program change event in the track as well as the matching Default Program. By your comment I suppose you are confirming that on Mac OS this problem does not exist?

MIDI Program Change Problem in DP 9 & 10
I was hoping the MIDI program change issue I had in DP 9 might have been resolved in 10, but no joy. I will recount the details using a simple setup and example. Windows 10 running DP 10. One MIDI track containing events such as program change, controllers 7 (volume), 10 (pan), and others, as well a...

Re: MIDI Program Change Issues in DP9
Well Kurt, it has been almost a year and I have updated to DP 10 hoping it would solve this long running MIDI program change issue. Not so! I, of course, experimented with your ideas about event chasing and placing a program change in the event list later in the track but nothing seems to work. I ha...

Re: MIDI Program Change Issues in DP9
Thank you Kurt for your very informative answer. Unfortunately that does not appear to be a solution. I have checked the JV-1010 MIDI implementation and reset it to factory default. What I have found is that if I export the MIDI tracks, with program change, bank select, and other controllers include...

MIDI Program Change Issues in DP9
It has been a while but with the current job environment I am spending more time with DP and MIDI instruments. Often I use virtual instruments but lately I have been using my simple MIDI setup with a Roland JV-1010 in a General MIDI setting, somewhat similar to the JV-1080. The main issue is that ev...

Re: DP 9, MOTU plug-ins, settings values invisible?
Thank you kdm for confirming this issue. I am not familiar with how to "Post a TechLink". Your description of this issue sounds accurate, could you make such a posting? Thanks
