Re: DP9 Tuition wanted
Thanks for encouragement... I like the concept of going against the grain...and look forward to it being more than a concept! It's good to know others as yourself who are making it work. I shall hang in albeit by short fingernails...well that's how it currently feels!

Re: DP9 Tuition wanted
Thanks FMiguelez. I have found the YouTube Motu videos and they're good. I probably need to just keep at it! Thanks again.

Re: DP9 Tuition wanted
Hi - thank you both for your suggestion. I have bought Groove 3 and probably need to persevere with it. The idea of Skype could work well I think. It's difficult to say exactly what I'm stuck on as I feel I'm still getting to grips with basics of looping, synching film clip, making dynamic contrasts...

DP9 Tuition wanted
Hello all I'm a classically trained pianist/ teacher/ composer who's comfortable with scoring using Sibelius, and have recently started using DP 9 with a view to writing music for film/TV. However, despite spending a chunk of time trying to teach myself DP using the online help, forums (thanks again...

Re: how to synchronise realtime recorded MIDI tracks
I changed the buffer size - 64 got rid of the latency but created clicking sounds; the DP manual suggested increasing buffer size, which I did, to 128; the clicking disappeared, the latency creeps in a bit, but seems better, so perhaps I stick with this. Thanks again.

Re: how to synchronise realtime recorded MIDI tracks
Thank you FMiguelez for ideas: I will try altering the repeated notes manually and hold notes longer - this is less effective using the keyboard as bowing in reality on a cello means the move from one note to another can be more seamless, (I am also a cellist and spent hours practicing the technique...

how to synchronise realtime recorded MIDI tracks
I'm a pianist and like to record instrument tracks through MIDI. I'm finding that despite playing in time with the previously recorded track, they don't synch. Also, if I am writing a 'cello line that has repeated notes in the melody, there is an unnatural gap between each of the notes. I would real...

Re: 7 bar delay when recording via MIDI
Thank you for your advice. I went into preferences and changed the MIDI Patch Thru mode from Auto channelize to Off which has corrected the issue of the music starting in the right place which is great! But now when I play through my keyboard, I get no sound when trying to record! It only seems to w...

7 bar delay when recording via MIDI
I have managed to input via MIDI successfully, but must have done something that means that it now delays for about 7 bars before it appears on the track. How do I stop this happening. Thanks
