Project slowdown with multiple master bus routings?
On one project I'm working on (a 30sec commercial), I've noticed huge hangs and lag when setting Record Enable On/Off or Monitor Enable On/Off, among other simple commands. It seems to occur in this particular project because I have my main "master" bus routed through two stereo tracks (1 ...

2-3 frames delay on movie start
I have a 23.98fps .mp4 movie file that I'm trying to sync up to the DP time code. Time stamp on movie starts at 1:00:00;00. In DP, I setting the chunk start time and the movie start time to the exact same frame. However, when I hit right on the keyboard to advance to the first frame, the movie doesn...

Re: Using MOTU micro lite with another interface?
Thanks, guys. To digress a little, I glanced at the Micro Express USB interface, which has SMPTE in/out. I currently use a slave computer with DP9 to stream the video that I am scoring over LAN. There's always delay when I Play/Stop the video. It's not a killer by any means, but I'm wondering if the...

Re: Using MOTU micro lite with another interface?
I don't think you'd need to deal with aggregate devices. DP can see individual audio and MIDI interfaces and deal with each of them as they are as long as any necessary CoreAudio and CoreMIDI drivers are installed. Some other DAWs can't deal with multiple audio interfaces and need to use aggregate ...

Using MOTU micro lite with another interface?
I'd like to start sequencing notes in DP and have them trigger hardware synths or sequencers. The problem is, my interface (and Apollo Quad Firewire) does not have a MIDI out. I was looking at the MOTU micro lite MIDI interface, but could this be used in conjunction with my Apollo interface? A sales...

Not in my case; I don't have Cuemix installed. But maybe similar software, like UAD Console?terrybritton wrote:Could this be caused by having Cuemix open? I closed that and the notifications went away.

Re: What music libraries do you recommend?
[/quote]Well, just one exemple: over years, I have bought and organised a large and powerful set of Alchemy libraries. At some point Camel Audio closed shop. Apple bought the virtual instrument and set it to be Logic Pro X only. Today, my virtual Alchemy instrument and libraries still play in DP, bu...

Re: What music libraries do you recommend?
I have to imagine that this isn't any easy way to make money. Do you mean contributing to libraries in general? I know a couple composers that make some extra bucks on the side from libraries and even make connections with clients. This article may be a little embellished, but http://www.soundonsou...

What music libraries do you recommend?
I'm hoping that maybe after a few hundred rejections, I'll make it into a music library. I'm targeting film/TV instrumental music (since that's what I do).
Is there a music library you recommend submitting to or one that's worked well for you?

Re: MIDI Automation question
The answers are: No (incredibly) Yes There's a setting where you can modify the ramps density, but I don't remember if it's in the Preferences or somewhere in the Studijo menu. Don't use extreme settings unless you want to choke your computer. That's a bummer on answer #1! And found #2. "Ramp ...

MIDI Automation question
Hi friends. Two questions on MIDI automation that I didn't see on here or laid out in the manual: 1) DP has Mix (volume, pan, and pitch) automation options that allow you to Overwrite, Latch, Trim, etc. Can these automation methods be used for recording MIDI data, like cc11 or Mod? I'm basically try...

Good question; I assumed it was from DP. I'll try calling MOTU again. They must've been swamped on Friday when I called.

New error with DP9.13 update
Since updating to 9.13, I've been getting this error whenever I save a project (which is often). I've been selecting 'Overwrite' but would like this to stop coming up. It looks like DP is doing some writing to the file after saving?
