I would call MOTU Tech Support. They should be able to replace the unit for you. I had similar symptoms with my unit, and they swapped it our for a refurbished one for $100. Definitely worth it.

Re: Tracks & Sequence windows not showing soundbite waveform
What do the soundbites look like? Do you see a think black line where the wave forms should be? If so, you should trash the Analysis Files folder associated with the project folder. That will force DP to redraw the waveforms of the soundbites.

Re: Can anyone confirm this DP9 bug?
I can confirm that behavior. I have contacted MOTU tech support about it. Looks like they are going to look into it. Seems it might be caused by something changed from Digital Performer 8 that they implemented in Digital Performer 9 in regards to other window options.

Re: UltraLite AVB AudioCore connectivity and sticking MIDI
Hi, What firmware version are you running on the unit? I would make sure you are on the latest firmware. Mine is at 1.2.2+134. I have not had any issues like this on my system at all. I would also try using different USB cables, and ports on your computer. May be related to connectivity. It appears ...

Re: 828 MKII FW Repair?
Hi,
I called in about my 828mkII unit the other day, and it appears that MOTU does not repair those units anymore. It makes sense since they are really old. They probably do not have any left in stock to replace the broken ones out there.

Re: 828x Thunderbolt connection problems
Hi,
I have had similar issues with another Thunderbolt device. I would test other Thunderbolt cables, and ports on your computer. If that does not work try connecting another Thunderbolt device to the computer, and see if it connects.

Hi,
Did not see you were on Mac. Haha. That would definitely be under your "Applications" folder then.

Re: MOTU smpte console
Hi, It would be called the MOTU PCI SMPTE Console. It would be under the file location listed below: C:/Program Files (x86)/MOTU/Audio MOTU PCI SMPTE Console This is if you are running a 64 bit operating system. If you are running a 32 bit operating system then it would just be under the "Progr...

Re: Direct Hardware Play Through - Greyed Out
Hi,
From talking with MOTU Tech Support in the past the direct hardware playthrough option is only available for MOTU units that run CueMixFX. If you are not running a MOTU interface then the option should be grayed out.

Hi,
From talking with MOTU Tech Support in the past the direct hardware playthrough option is only applicable to MOTU hardware units that have the CueMixFX feature. So the option should not be available for an Apogee Symphony unit.

Re: Apogee Symphony has no direct play through?
Hi, This is straight from the DP manual: Direct hardware playthrough provides accurate monitoring with no delays, but if you have real time effects (EQ, reverb, etc.) assigned to the track being recorded into, you will not hear them during monitoring. Effects will, however, be applied to the recorde...

Hi,
Do you know what firmware version the unit is running? You can hit the "Sel" button on the front panel of the unit, and scroll down to "Version" to find out. You may need to update the firmware before the device can connect to the Windows machine via USB.

Re: Help! The dreaded blank waveforms
Hi, Try removing your DP preference files. See if that does anything. Those are found under: Macintosh HD/User/(YOURUSERNAME)/Library/Preferences/ -com.MOTU.DigitalPerformer -com.MOTU.DigitalPerformer.plist If you are running OS 10.7 or later you need to navigate to the "Go" menu option fo...
