Bouncing to CD hissing
I bounced a song to cd. The file plays just fine in the computer. However, when I played the CD in a car stereo, there is a hissing sound. I then tried the same cd in a dvd player, and I hear the hissing sound there, as well. I've not heard this sound before when I've burnt CDs using other software....

Re: Exporting stems
Does this method still stand, or is there something better: 1. The export feature for Digital Performer is pretty much the same as Pro Tools. 2. Create as many stereo audio tracks as you need stems, assign each one a different aux bus input. If some of your sessions tracks are in mono be sure to cr...

Re: Clipping
If there will ever be a time when I have to recall an instance when a question of mine was thoroughly answered and done so quickly, this is one of those times to which I will reference.
Thank you.
Thank you.

Clipping
I'm nearing the point where I will send my stems to a professional mixer. However, various parts of various pieces (non-vocal; instrumental only) are clipping indicated on DP's mixer interface. It creates of a lot of additional work for me to have to pre-mix because I have to move onto some more wor...

Re: Exporting stems
I wouldn't call bouncing "a track at a time" stems. Stems are normally submixes of tracks that share certain characteristics, i.e., a "strings stem" or the "percussion stem". Or the "low instruments" stem, etc. Anyway. The way I do it is I print my final mix ...

Shortcuts
I am wondering if there is a shortcut for this: Working within a MIDI track, I have an extended chord but the start points of each MIDI note slightly differ. If I move the playback wiper to the desired start point for all MIDI notes, is there a key command I can press to line up all the MIDI notes t...

Freeeze Tracks option?
I'm in the middle of a rather large cue. I've selected multiple tracks to freeze. However, when I access the audio menu, "Freeze Selected Tracks" is greyed out. How do I freeze the selection?

Re: Exporting stems
A couple questions:
What is the shortcut command for record enabling multiple tracks? Also, the bundles menu appears to allow me to create only 64 new bus channels. How do I create more, as I have 90+ separate tracks to record.

Exporting stems
Hi all, I've read a lot of posts on this topic. However, I'm still not quite confident of how to proceed. When I'm ready to export stems for mixing (to someone other than me), is the process as simple as this: 1) solo one track at a time 2) select "bounce to disk" 3) identify a target fold...

Reverb suggestions
While my current project is going well, I'm finding some virtual instruments (other than EWQSL) to be a bit dry. Besides Mir Pro, which reverb do you suggest I use to best resemble a sound stage?

Dormant mode for loaded ram?
I created a large template with East West libraries with fifteen instances of PLAY. The track count so far is 205. However, the CPU grid in Vienna Ensemble Pro 5 is at 89%. Of course I won't use all the articulations for every piece but rather a combination. Is there a way in DP to unload the ram fo...
