...also, I have to say that I never found CueMix intuitive!
As a Windows user, there were/are keys and mouse clicks that took me a while to discover, but are probably much easier for a Mac user to find!

Re: CueMix Outputs
Hi Mike, Thanks, I have downloaded those files. I didn't realise that it was discontinued! Shame - it's a very clever piece of hardware! Using mainly old school analogue mixers and hard disk recorders I underused the features of the 896Mk3. It would often cause consternation with overlooked settings...

Re: MIDI Express 128 - weird behaviour!
MOTU MIDI Installer PC v89606 | Oct. 5, 2021 Windows 11, Windows 10 64-bit PS. Yes, that's the driver that I've been using for both. I did see a post from someone else using Cubase 10 and experiencing similar issues, so that's a bit odd! Maybe the odd man out is my Express 128 that does work with C...

Re: MIDI Express 128 - weird behaviour!
Thanks Mike, It has been racked up its whole life, so corrosion is unlikely, but not impossible! I just did similar troubleshooting with my soldering iron on a mixing console, with right Tape In and right Control Room Out not working. After a few harsh words, but a much neater PCB, I discovered that...

MIDI Express 128 - weird behaviour!
Yo, I have two MIDI Express 128s! One has always had a poltergeist, but never anything definitive - until now. I have been in touch with Support, but they have now lost interest! With an upgrade of Cubase, with the Weirdo Express, when the USB is connected Cubase 12 will freeze at start up and somet...

CueMix Outputs
I have to admit, my 896Mk3 Hybrid has been ignored for many years... As an audio interface it just gave me much more than I needed! Now I am streamlining and looking at options. Although the 896 doesn't give me MIDI, it does give me Word Clock. Although I am tempted to patch in everything, I think t...

Re: Fatal BSOD's with USB and MOTU MIDI Express XT
This might be better by e-mail, but here goes… After three months of utter frustration, yesterday was the day that I admitted defeat, packaged up my computer, MOTU 896Mk3 and 2 x MOTU MIDI Express 128s to go to see real IT professionals. Sadly, when I got there the computer chose that moment to curl...

Re: Fatal BSOD's with USB and MOTU MIDI Express XT
Despite having two Express 128 units, I currently have no MIDI I/Os which is a complete disaster!
MOTU recommended that I use the 4.0.5.7483 driver, but is causes BSOD on installation and BSOD when connecting either of the Express 128s!
Did you get any sort of satisfactory resolution???

Word Clock - MOTU 896Mk3 FW versus old faithful Fostex D2424
Hi all, Maybe this has been covered elsewhere on this forum, but I am putting out a plea to the considerable experience out there. I have just re-hashed my control room and have my old 896Mk3 FW at the hub. I would like to simply use it as the master clock and get my Fostex D2424 and some other bits...
