Just gave it a shot, but nope, still no dice. Poor little MTP II.

Re: Dead MIDI Time Piece II?
James: Yeah, it was definitely worth dropping all of five bucks on the battery to see if the fix could be so easy. (And its a common battery type, so I may have a use for it elsewhere in due course.) Thanks for the suggestion about looking for a 115V/220V switch. There doesn't seem to be one on this...

Re: Dead MIDI Time Piece II?
Well, it's with a heavy heart that I must report that my old MIDI Time Piece II appears to have winged its way to the electronic afterlife. Replacing the battery didn't have any affect on its behavior. Anyone know my best bet for finding an outfit that might want it for parts? I'd rather give it to ...

Re: Dead MIDI Time Piece II?
Well, though I certainly appreciate the offer, the truth is that I don't desperately NEED this sucker to work. I've got an MTP AV that's chatting with Windows just fine right now. I do hope to get the old MTP II up and running so I can sync it up when I have enough outboard gear to require it... but...

Re: Dead MIDI Time Piece II?
Thanks for the reply! :) Sounds like that's worth a shot, in the absence of someone saying "nope, I had that happen, and had to put it out to pasture." I'll grab one at some point this week and give it a shot. I'll report back, too, in case the results might help somebody else down the lin...

Dead MIDI Time Piece II?
(I posted this over in "MOTU Hardware & Windows" yesterday, but since the problem is with the hardware side, I thought I'd post it here as well, in case anyone might have any ideas.) I've just fired up an old MOTU MIDI Time Piece II for the first time in ages. It either boots with the ...

Dead MIDI Time Piece II?
I've just fired up an old MOTU MIDI Time Piece II for the first time in ages. It either boots with the lock light and all 8 green output lights on and solid, or it boots with just the lock light solid. Booting while holding the panic button results in a solid green lock light accompanied by a solid ...
