Re: Performance problems, DP8 Win7x64
I'm having similar troubles I think. I'm getting horrible CPU spikes that cause crackles and cause the program to hang for a few seconds, but ONLY when I press play, change which track is record enabled, change playback position while the song is playing, etc. Once the initial spike is gone it sound...

Re: A huge host of detailed criticisms (and can they be fixe
I realize a lot of these are small, but a lot of them feel to me like things that are obvious and should just be there regardless of other DAWs. A lot of the MIDI editing stuff is personal preference, especially, I don't expect people to agree with me on that. But things like menus and making the in...

A huge host of detailed criticisms (and can they be fixed?)
I really like Digital Performer. I want to love it, I really do. But there are several small issues, particularly with usability, that I want to ask about before I commit to making this purchase. Hopefully I can find a workaround, or at least advice in how to change my approach. Some of these issues...

Re: How can I re-record automation data without dropping not
Keeping the notes on a separate track from the automation data to prevents erasing notes. Once the controller data is isolated, use punch-in and out along with overdub to help minimize manual corrections. If I do this though is there any way to maintain the automation being shown together in the se...

How can I re-record automation data without dropping notes?
I'm trying to use overdub to change some modwheel automation, but it's not working well at all. The old data just gets combined with the new automation so I have really funky curves that are trying to be both the new and the old. Yet if I turn off overdub, MIDI notes are erased even if I'm not touch...

"audio hardware's state changed" error with creative ASIO
I'm running Windows 7 x64 and trying to get the DP demo to work. Everything is fine, except when I try to tun on ASIO, I get this "The audio hardware's state changed while MAS was starting up" error. Clicking continue only makes the error show again, so it's impossible to use the program w...
