Routing Digimax D8 into MOTU 828mk3 via ADAT
Greetings! I apologize if this has been posted before. I have 2 Presonus Digimax D8's that someone gave me,and figured I hook them up to my MOTU 828mk3 hybrid to get more channels. I hooked up the ADAT outputs of the D8s into the ADAT in of the MOTU and I can see all the channels in CUEMIX and my DA...

Re: How can DP keep playing after MTC stops?
Ok i figured it out. This is my setup pretty much... Mac System A is connected to MOTU 828x via thunderbolt. MOTU 828x is connected to MOTU MIDI XT. From DP8 System A, I send an MMC command to the MOTU SMPTE program that will kick in and generate MTC on the MOTU 828x. The MTC send back the timecode ...

Re: 828x MIDI Routing into MIDI XT
Well I figured it out. Not so simple as just plugging a MIDI cable in. First you have to connect Rig A via USB to the MOTU XT. Then, you must map the ports ins and outs you need using CLOCKWORKS. Save this configuration on a USER BANK. Once this is done, then you can unhook your USB cable. Then your...

Re: Naming inputs/outputs in the Clockworks Routings tab
I had this problem last night. When I created my MIDI instruments in the Audio/MIDI settings in OS X, then the instrument names trickled down to clockworks.

828x MIDI Routing into MIDI XT
Greetings from Foo Jersey, I am trying to figure out, how to route the MIDI signal coming out of a MOTU 828x into a MOTU MIDI XT interface. I tried using the MAC OS X Audio/MIDI setup, but I cant seem to patch the outputs of the 828x into the XT. I am trying to avoid having to connect the XT via USB...

Re: MOTU DP/828 Live playback rig
Thanks for your reply. i see what your are saying... i guess i was thinking that the XT can take the incoming MIDI data, which in this case is the same, and route it to the connected devices as 1 signal. So the switching would basically happen automatically. thanks again for the info. I will go out ...

MOTU DP/828 Live playback rig
Greetings from NJ, I am building a redundant DP8 playback system. I am kind of stuck in the signal flow. Each system will be sending audio/MIDI/dmx signals. The audio part, will be handled by 2 MOTU 828s. Now with the MIDI aspect, I have some questions. Since both systems are sending MIDI signals ou...

Live Rig Redundant System
Greetings from NJ, I put together a DP8, MOTU 828mkiii redundant system that will playback backing tracks and at the same time send patch changes to the guitar rig and keyboard rig. In the audio side of things, if one laptop fails, the system switches to the other laptop via a Radial SW8 rack. Now i...
