How I made a CPU/RAM efficient 100+ track MIDI template in DP11.3 (video)
Here is a video of how I came to create a 100+ track CPU/RAM efficient template in DP11.3 and made some MIDI sketches that showcase some of the sounds.

Re: MIDI playback timing sloppiness help
I think I may have fixed this sloppy MIDI problem. I had a massive MIDI template of mostly kontakt instruments that was taking 25GB of 32GB of memory and the MIDI was very sloppy. When I removed the large string sections and large choirs in kontakt and got the existing instruments to take up about 1...

Re: MIDI playback timing sloppiness help
I made a MOTU support ticket. Here is the unlisted video I sent them to demonstrate the problem.

MIDI playback timing sloppiness help
11.3 is performing much better for me than 11.22. I am still having a weird issue where MIDI playback timing is sloppy for 30 seconds to a minute, and slowly gets better until it starts playing correctly. If I let it rest for a few minutes or hop to a new section that behavior will repeat itself. Is...

Re: Digital Performer 11.3 released!
Happy to report that 11.3 is working much better and snappier. I have a template with tons of Kontakt instances that DP 11.22 showed taking up 29 GB of ram in activity monitor that now shows to be using about 15 GB in 11.3 and no beach ball hang ups or crashes. 11.22 was crashing a lot on me. I stil...

Clippings Problem
I am trying to create instrument sets I can use as clippings. I have a folder called acoustic drums which contain a few MIDI channels that trigger the same Kontakt Drums. When i highlight the MIDI tracks and VI and say copy to clippings window and then go to a new file to load it in it does not incl...

Re: List of Plugs that don't play nice with DP11
Thanks for the replies. I will try to figure this out. I will try the activity monitor trick and also see if I can find some enabled plugs that may be slowing it down. I know this is supposed to be the fastest computer I have ever had and so far is the slowest at least in DP11. Truth be told I used ...

List of Plugs that don't play nice with DP11
Lets all share a list of plug-ins below that you have found do not play nice with DP11 and which you have disabled. I recently got a new mac mini M2 and DP 11 and am experiencing very sluggish interface with half frozen Beach Balls that eventually clear. For me so far I can't get the Sound Toys bund...

Recommendations for stable OS with 9.52
I know I am a dinosaur running DP 9.52 on an imac 10.13.6 intel core i7. I had an issue with AU plugs not working a few months ago and MOTu tech had me upgrade to at least 10.13.6 which I am at now. It is working pretty well but my DP files become corrupt often and I do a lot of save as. i suspect t...

Re: AU plug-in "fails examination" ...now what?
That seemed to work, Now my AU's will show up. Problem now is about 15 AU's failed to pass, and they had been working before. How can I get these plug ins working?

Re: Help! Some Au Plugs gone for no reason
Motu tech support thinks it has something to do with ios updates and they are working on it. i didn;t know it was updating automatically but I guess there were some updates. There was a "device support update"

Re: Help! Some Au Plugs gone for no reason
I was using 64 bit before, but now when i run in 64 bit, no AU plug ins show up in prefs, so I cannot enable them since they are not there. Any ideas?
