Re: How to crop a bunch of screenshots to the same dimension
The GraphicConverter site says you can try for free. I missed the suggestion by Bays in last line before I posted.

Re: The Strange Demise of DP Control
James, I believe iOS 11 is ALL 64 bit now for apps. Older 32 bit apps won't work. You may have known that but just sayin'. And the reason I keep my old iPhone on previous iOS, is so the DP Control will work on that. It's like an iPod now and I have another newer iPhone. But I'm on the same page as y...

Re: Help with OS update
"I don't want to boot the apps; just know if they are 32 bits. Shoosh" Shoosh: In System Information Utility ( was Sys Profiler B4? ) left column select Software>Applications. Let it load… Top window lists all Apps, etc. Far right column is 64 Bit. And shows a YES or NO for each App. Hope ...

Re: iMac Pro announced at WWDC 2017
Heard that, Michael. Makes no sense. And I understand everyone's frustration w Apple. +1 there.... Just wanted to let you know you 'should' be able to reach the App Store from the iPhone icon easily. And D/L any apps..... as you had stated: "Clicked the link. The App Store now requires iOS 10. ...

Re: iMac Pro announced at WWDC 2017
Just to be clear. MLC's screenshot is for the "Apple Store" app on iOS. Where you buy Mac products. It now requires iOS 10 , Apple has told me a while back. The APP Store IS still reachable on iOS 9 and maybe older ones. It confused me at first look, but then I just opened both apps on iOS...

You are correct, the Rabbit brain is easily confused. You clearly answered my question here.

Re: Things I dislike about OS 10.8
Thanks Mike, I already had Apple Care send me the original restore disks for my machine a while back. But.... any thought on Timeline's post from page 1 in this thread? He stated after the M/L instal, his firmware was changed and then S/L was not running well. ( from another partition I believe ) Qu...

Re: Things I dislike about OS 10.8
Michael, thanks for your input, I figured you did not go back to S/L. There are just a few programs that may not work for me in 10.8 so I wanted a safety net.
Has anyone else had success running 10.6.8 on their machine after upgrading to 10.8? That Firmware thing has me wondering.

Re: Things I dislike about OS 10.8
Michael, glad you made the transition after all your apprehension. I have a few things that might not work on M/L and I have just this year upgraded a lot of things to 10.6.8 after my old PPC G5 finally died earlier this year. This expired most of my upgrade money, but I did get DP8. Can't afford Al...

Re: New iMacs-no superdrive
The newer technology looks great but a lot of us have many Firewire devices. The Thunderbolt to F/W adaptor does not power MOTU's ( or any ) audio interfaces. Issue maybe on a Lap Top in certain circumstances… and I'm not sure it's a good idea to chain HDs , F/W, after an audio interface. I have a M...

Re: This is LAME
Michael, I can export mp3 at 256 from DP8 ( 64 bit mode ) , no problems. But just like you I cannot get DP7 to show any mp3 export options now. Would DP7's access to the DP8 Plugs be part of the issue? Just a guess. I see you are in 32 bit w/ DP. btw, you showed a link in your 1st post to a 256 file...

Re: Presets for DP 8 Ensemble Chorus?
No presets in the NEW plugs in DP8. Confirmed by MOTU and Magic Dave. We may see some in the future, but no definite word yet.
