DP+I73930+VEP (64gb ram) setup

I'm currently working on an old mac, with a slave (I7-3820, 64gb ram, SSD's) via VEP. Thinking to upgrade my main machine to a Windows I7-3930, 64gb ram. I like to have all my libraries open. Do anybody have a similar setup, running DP on W8 + several heavy instances of VEP (on the same machine) + r...

So what's new in 8.02, if anything. Can't find the usual list anywhere.... :mumble:

Working with plug-ins

Hi, New to DP (and lovin' it). Having though a problem opening EW Spaces plug-in. On an Aux track, I "open" it in the first slot, but all I get is a small window named "Effects: V-Rack 1:V", but not the plug in window? :banghead: Not much explained in the DP manual about how plug...

Re: DP8 Themes

While the these new themes are nice as a change of what we have, personally I was hoping for (other than different color schemes), the use of real textures (wood, metal, leather, etc.) in many places as possible. That shouldn't be that difficult, but may be possible only on Motu's level. I saw a scr...

DP8 Themes

I'm new to DP and enjoying it so far. We all know that it's just a detail, but it's nice to have the different "themes" (gui's). For our eyes, it's healthy to switch colors a couple of times a day also.

I'd like to see more themes that have real textures: wood, metal, marble, etc.

In PT, a stereo track has two knobs but those aren't "surround" panners. Surround panning is usually down with a joystick or similar.

Re: independent pan pots?

I have a stereo image facing me assigned to left and right. I would like to now make that stereo image spin slowly around the surround (5.1) field, while keeping the integrity of the stereo image. Now, I know exactly how to achieve this, both in DP and PT. PT makes it easier because of the dual pan...

Re: Say it isn't so? Only mono panners on stereo tracks?

I can't think of one situation in which, when dealing with a stereo track (audio or VI), you wouldn't call up the trip plug. Maybe someone here could post some "evidence" to the contrary that I can't think of. I have the impression that most who find no need for stereo panning, don...

Re: Say it isn't so? Only mono panners on stereo tracks?

Stereo panning is a must for most VI's (and stereo audio tracks ftm). Seems insane not to have that built it to any stereo track. This is 2013 you know, not 1995 :deadhorse:
